Sadly, JJ has not been "very good" this year. Pedestrian at best. Not all his fault, of course, but there's no need to sugar coat it. It is what it is. Which is pretty average.

Sorry, but the coaches don't agree with you.

Not publicly. And I'd be pissed if they did. But there isn't anyone on that staff who feels Jordy is playing as well as he did last year. Because he isn't. Period.

I'm talking privately. The coaches know that the o-line is inexperienced, not giving JJ time, and being inconsistent. The coaches know which receivers are not able to play, and the impact that has on the offense. The coaches know that JJ is the making good decisions and running this inexperienced ship, and doing the best that can be done. Of course, he is not always as productive as last year, but the coaches know why. When have you ever talked to the coaches privately this year, by the way?

OK. I just got back from the bar after a great day of BSC football. I am a little drunk and have no inhibition. That being said - PlayerRep you are the BIGGEST FUC*ING RETARD IN THE HISTORY AND FUTURE OF MANKIND. Jesus. How does anyone stand you in real life. For fuc*s sake. Get a clue and break your computer.

Hey, Mr. Bobcat posing as an EWU fan, it appears that you are actually talking about yourself. You can't even admit who you are or what you stand for.

You call the Cats a joke. Yes their defense was horrible. However, the Griz offense was just as horrible. You guys were just as lucky to win today as the Cats. The Cats put up 58 pts today. Dakota Prukrop gets better with every game. Denarius who?

Their D is a joke moron, they just gave up 700 yards to a shitty team, dream on bro.

You OK PR? Pay attention!

Right, I guess we will find out in 7 weeks or so. As it sits now, I will gladly take a great offense and special teams and a weak D over your "great" D with a weak offense and ST. Hope both can get it figured out before the showdown in Missoula. PR you have issues.

I do love the Bobcats threads and shit talking after barely escaping ND. :thumb:

Ok I'll bite. First off this is a grizz board and when you start a thread about the Bobcats, it makes you look envious. Your attempt to pander to the lowest common denominator was largely a failure in this thread and very few people jumped on board, and a few ironically called you out for being a total d-bag.

FWIW, creating a thread like this isn't and will never be a page from our trolling playbook. We're much better than that. Sure we have a smack section on BN, but thankfully it goes largely unused (because it make us look envious. We're not.). When looking at your other posts in the last day or two, it's quite clear when they passed out the 'don't be a dick' instructions, you were noticeably absent. You make me give thanks that our program does not have a fan equivalent of you.

Now that we have that cleared up, I heard an unconfirmed rumor that you actually played the game. So in spite of you continuing your quest for the ultimate d-bag award by starting this childish thread, I'll give you some football talk to chew on. The SAC game started with a pick 6 and one would think our young QB would actually have a bad day for once, but that wasn't going to happen. The kid continues to impress, and unlike DM who pretty much showed everything he had right from the start, this kid still has enormous upside. The Bobcats are continuing to recruit in fantastic playmakers and many young players are getting great experience, so we are in great shape on O for the foreseeable future. Get used to it.

And now the D. I've been very consistent over here in saying that our biggest problem on D was depth. I'm standing by that statement. When you look at the SAC game, their O scored on their first play from scrimmage on a total blown assignment. I credit them for the play call and knowing our safety was going to be coming down hard in the box. Now, their next six drives went Punt, Missed FG (52 yards never had a chance), Punt, Punt, INT, Punt. In other words they didn't score again until mid way through the 3rd quarter. In the world I live in, that's pretty damn good D against a team as prolific as SAC. Then we got gassed and the wheels fell off the cart. They scored a TD on every drive after that. This has been a problem for us in all our games (except the DII game). We played very good D against Arkansas State for 2.5 quarters and then we got gassed and the wheels fell off. We made the UCA and UND games closer than they should have been because we allowed a bunch of yards and points in the last 1.5 quarters. We actually made EWU punt a few times and forced some TOs in the first 2.5 quarters, but we had no hope in the end of stopping them as the game was winding down. That's our MO so far. Very good followed by very bad.

Don't pretend that the grizz aren't subject to some of the same behaviors. I saw UND completely own the 4th quarter against you guys. That sad excuse for an offense was moving the ball at will against that almighty grizz D. They simply killed themselves with a fumble on what would have been 1st and goal from the 4, and then a bad snap leading to a low FG kick. In a 5 quarter game, UND would have won yesterday. You guys were gassed on D.

PR, I know you believe your shit doesn't stink, and that you have some special bond with the coaching staff that others on here do not have. Truth told, it just ain't true, and nobody's buyin' so I might suggest you stop sellin'. It'll improve your image. But since you asked, I talk to members of the staff periodically. Unlike you, I don't garner all of my self-worth in bragging about the last time I spoke to Cornerbacks Coach.

That said, I don't care if you're the biggest cheese ever on any college campus. You're still PUBLIC. When I said "in private" I wasn't talking about a conversation "in private" to you, because YOU'RE PUBLIC!!! When I say "in private", I mean like in the film room with only other coaches around. You know, like, in private.

Okay, if that's what you mean by "privately", then how do you know what the coaches really think about JJ is playing this year? Seems that you wouldn't be able to know that. I have never said I have any special bond with the coaches, but I do know them and talk to them, or some of them, periodically. I know that a number of posters know coaches too, but many posters don't. Just for the record, I get no self-worth from posting on a message board. Zero. I don't care about "images" on a message board; jeez, it's just the internet. I do try to protect the coaches and players from unfair criticism and attacks sometimes, learn and provide some information, and have some fun. I learned long ago that I can often deflect attacks away from the coaches/players, by baiting posters into coming after me instead of continuing after coaches/players. Same way with certain Cat posters. The funny thing is that I probably like and appreciate the Cats more than most Griz posters.

The Cats won't be contenders because their defense is so bad, and I don't think their offense is great either. If you watched the UM games, and understood football, you would know that JJ has been very good this year. He's leading the O and making good decisions, despite, today, not having 7 predicted preseason starters even on the trip and not having a strong o-line.

Sadly, JJ has not been "very good" this year. Pedestrian at best. Not all his fault, of course, but there's no need to sugar coat it. It is what it is. Which is pretty average.

Coach Delaney has commented multiple times on JJ performing at a very high level on his Coach's TV Show, on his Coach's Radio Show, on the football pre-game show, etc. - all very public. The reality is that JJ's numbers aren't great compared to last season, but he has managed a poor o-line extremely well. I think he's only been sacked a couple of times this season and he extends plays all the time. We all saw a glimpse of what sits behind JJ. Out passing game threat virtually disappeared yesterday when JJ went to the bench. Imagine what JJ could do with some time in the pocket or you could just recall last season where he played lights out. Nothing has changed for JJ except his line. It is truly a shame we have such a pedestrian o-line. This team deserves better.

I agree. I would also add that not having a healthy Henderson, Chase N. and Wolcott have also impacted JJ, as well as not having Ralston yesterday. And look at how all this impacted the 2 very good running backs yesterday. Canada - 19 carries for 53; Van 11 carries for 0. So far this year, UM's offense has not been able to do much against good defenses, i.e. Wyo, NDSU and ND. Hopefully, the offense will continue to improve. Thank god for the terrific defense and red zone defense so far this season.

True, enough of the sCat calling, our Griz are just as bad, I am thinking this will be the first year the griz/cat game will be very close and nail biter, if our Oline decides to play. The EWU game seems to be a tough one as well, I am sure our D can stop them, but can our Oline help JJ / QB make plays for TD.... Go Griz...

I don't think you can say the Cats suck. I think at this point there is nobody in the Big Sky that is good or bad. Some teams have great offensive play, some have good defensive play, and some are just playing really good at the right times. UND had a chance to beat you guys, Sac had a chance to beat us, SUU has a chance to beat Cal Poly, Idaho State could have beat EWU. I mean, this confernce is all over the place this year. Only time will tell. But there isn't one team that should think they are better than anyone else at this point.
