They might not beat them but they would not be embarrassed. Ferris State could easily transition into FCS especially being the only FCS school in Michigan and compete at a high level. Give them those additional scholarships and they would be top 5 FCS in the nation pretty consistently. Just as NDSU and SDSU have since they moved up. That guy is a legendary coach and he finds talent. I called it a touchdown win the week before and that is what it is. Offense has to find its groove for Griz to be a top 2 or 3 Big Sky team. But the defense has been outstanding and the Griz special teams have been top notch. And those two things can keep Griz in games as the offense improves. Two things people keep harping on are the total offensive yards the Griz had Saturday night. Well when your scoring drives in second half are 30 and 40 yards you are not going to put up big numbers. Improvement needed on offense..absolutely but how about recognizing the positives? There are a lot of them.
How do you know Ferris would compete against other Big Sky teams? Simply conjecture, dude. You assume that the results of our game with Ferris showed just how good they were. But, it could also expose how pedestrian we are. For all of you posters who have now anointed Ferris as a juggernaut who would be a powerhouse in the Big Sky Conference......... here is a list of teams playing in the conference which Ashland plays in....... an Ashland team who only lost 38-28 to Ferris. Ever heard of any of these powerhouses? This is how dumbstruck many of you have become.

Rico would know because he is friends with the Griz coaches, has been a football coach including head football coach of a couple schools, and played the game. He also understands the game. He also has coached for a few decades.
