The 2015 losing season

I could be wrong, but I think any of the front-runners (assuming Gus is gone?) for starting QB will do just fine after spring and fall camps. I certainly don't anticipate it being a Roper-in-Pflugrad's-system situation.

That was such a funky year, we had Selle who was a very good QB but he gets knocked out for the season so we had to start a guy who just left that system at Oregon because he wasn't very good at it...

And to think I fell for the Troll Trap! Thanks again Waberg for "saving" me from another troll swimming around our board. Gig B.

Meanwhile I had a person to person visit with an ex Griz head coach and he mentioned to me to be cautious Stitt's first year. He did know quite about Coach Stitt but said it will be a hard go his first year. He did feel Stitt would be great for the Griz and felt he was a good man for the job. Some of old coach's comments were "the fans will love him" and "only so many plays exist in football" and "on third down if U run and don't make it the fans moan and groan but if you pass and don't make it 'nothing' from the fans" ..............Lots more but in the end I agree with most of you the coming year will be great to make much noise unless we have a ton of Stitt luck.

The reality is the excitement Stitt brings to our program. Some fun and drama type plays will be fun for us fans to watch. If it is exciting football and we win 6 plus games I will survive this coming season. However, I expect to win 8 and make the play-offs.......aahhh can't wait!

I think that Pflu had the same experience his 1st year. He was implementing a very different system and it took a season to work out the kinks and start to get more of "his guys" in there. He was lucky on the field with having Jordan Johnson who made it all work. Just like I said with Stitt - he needs the right QB to make it work quickly.
Pflu didn't have his qb in place his first year. I would say the griz have at least two qbs on the roster that are very capable of running Stitts O . IMO

From what I know about Stitt is that he doesn't like to force square pegs in a round hole. He is smart enough to adapt his offense to the talent he has, not force it to be something it is not.

Agreed Grizatwork - he even said that in his presser. Will adapt his system to the guys we have and bring them along.

Since we did not hire Coach Hauck and right the ship, how many wins under .500 are we going to take before we get rid of Stitt?

I think this could possibly turn out to be a good, or dare I say even great hire for um. It won't happen overnight though. You won't know much after 2015. Making this drastic of a change in coaching philosophy will take time. I think your defense will be good enough to keep you in a lot of games, so probably won't have a losing season in 2015. I'd say probably 6-5 is very realistic with all the change and your tough schedule. 2016 and 2017 will start to show you if the experiment on offense is going to pay off and get you back to the top of the Big Sky.

Ha! Well, you're consistent. You've picked the GRIZ to finish 6-5 each and every year (except when we have a 12 game season when you predict 6-6). I'd say your success record is even less than the cats against the GRIZ, and that's saying something.

Nope, not true. I think I predicted 8-4 or 7-5 for you last year last year, bubble team for hte playoffs, just as I did for the Cats. I was right on both counts. Obviously nobody anticipated the shit show that was Cat\griz.

The Griz were not a bubble team after the "shit show".

What the hell is going on here. Everything is bass ackwards, guys. Post is supposed to start out civil and then goes to the trolls. This one was started by a troll and turned civil. Not sure if I can get used to this 'new' style of board procedures. I'm so lost....
