Until now, because of the good vibes from when the Griz played Tennessee, I've leaned toward them in the SEC. Now ... I hope Schiano takes them to the cleaners for contract default, character assassination, and whatever else a good lawyer can dream up.

Whether or not a formal contract was signed, it appears to me that Tennessee's handling of the sequence lays them open to a pretty significant defamation suit. No, I'm not a lawyer, but I've played one on ... just kidding . But it seems to me -- from other publicized cases -- that Schiano has a pretty good argument that their abrogation of a verbal agreement, based on unfounded attacks on his character, has severely damaged his reputation and future ability to attain a good position in his professional field.
