Yeah. Might have aided in diddling children, what chicken shit. :?

May have yes, but didn't according to those most involved. Terrible thing to saddle a person with for life.

See the last line of the statement: "...man if high integrity and strong character...."

The last person I recall saying that about someone else, a certain Griz coach about a certain Griz QB, got fired a few days later. Those can be dangerous words.

My Tennessee friend, who is a Georgia fan, responded to my text: "What a circus!! Couldn't happen to a better group of rednecks."

The point is 'may have' is too close for comfort.

Okay, so if you worked with a child molester would you want to be off limits to any future opportunities because you may have known even if there is zero proof you actually did?

Honestly, I give everyone a chance. But, I'm not a part of this group.

Agree, and I know little about Schiano. I just don't like how they decided to advertise they didn't hire him because he was involved with the Penn State fiasco. Seems like a very evil thing to do to a person.

I think the mass vitriol against him shaped the story. Bottom line, their fans don't want him.

How close are Currie and Haslam? Not that it matters one iota but I read a lot of material the last few hours discussing the two of them. I suspect Currie is gone soon.

Scary. Almost beyond belief ... except it isn't. Now, it appears, "feelings" are more important than verifiable facts.

Until now, because of the good vibes from when the Griz played Tennessee, I've leaned toward them in the SEC. Now ... I hope Schiano takes them to the cleaners for contract default, character assassination, and whatever else a good lawyer can dream up.

I agree. But, litigation won't happen because it will ruin him. What school/team would hire someone that litigates?

Step one: Get enough money from the lawsuit to kick back for the rest of your life.
Step two: Find a coaching job -- perhaps D-III or NAIA -- where mentoring and shaping young men is as, or more, important than national recognition. Don't know the man, so don't know if that would be a satisfactory outcome for him ... but it could be all he's got left, given the toxicity of today's big-time sports environment.

Great. However, it all depends on if a contract was actually signed. Based on experience, I think not.

Then you'll get to a dispute over what was signed and whether that, along with whatever press release was issued constitute a contract. I suspect you could litigate that for years.

What a fucking disaster from a bunch of social justice warriors. What a goddamn joke. He can’t sue because it might ruin his career that is now ruined get real. I hope he owns that whole damn state. This generation of snowflake pouty little shits is ridiculous. There is 0 evidence that he knew of or did anything. This mans life is ruined because these bunch of idiots decided he is bad with no proof at all.

Whether or not a formal contract was signed, it appears to me that Tennessee's handling of the sequence lays them open to a pretty significant defamation suit. No, I'm not a lawyer, but I've played one on ... just kidding :) . But it seems to me -- from other publicized cases -- that Schiano has a pretty good argument that their abrogation of a verbal agreement, based on unfounded attacks on his character, has severely damaged his reputation and future ability to attain a good position in his professional field.
