Soooo sick of ndsu. The Griz are trending upward. I don't think the same can be said of ndsu.

Hard to "trend upward" when they're already clearly at the top. Until someone knocks them off, I see no end in sight to their dominance. It's f*cking unbelievable.

Clearly defense and ground and pound football wins championships...Yet we decide after Bobby leaves we wanna be f****** Oregon with Robin and now f****** Texas Tech with Stitt.

I know the Cheatriots have won a lot of NFL championships with anything but ground and pound. Looking at all the Super Bowl winners since 2004, you see QBs like Russell Wilson,Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, the Manning Bros.and Drew Brees. Only the Baltimore Ravens with Joe Flacco seem to break the mold as they definitely had a great D and a game manager at QB.

The Dallas Cowboys went 3-1 in the games that Romo started this year. 1-11 in games he didn't start. O-line and Defense was not dramatically different in those games.

No one would say that O-lines, and Defense aren't important parts of a championship formula, but ground and pound is not the only way to win. We have had 2 national championships here in Grizville and certainly the first one was definitely on the back of Dave Dickenson, not our ground and pound game. One of the NCs we lost to Marshall was due to the unstoppable talents of Randy Moss, not their unstoppable running game.

NDSU is solid in all parts of the game, but to discount the value of having Brock Jensen and now Carson Wentz as their starting QBs during their run of Championships is just wrong.

I believe that we were on our way to more NCs with Pflugrad as coach and we will be back there with Stitt. This should be an exciting and fun team to watch to see if that is true. Getting Reese Phillips to add depth to our QB position will make a big difference next year.

Yes they did. Similar to some of the FCS wins over FBS. On any given day... My comment is more to say the teams that have made this division great have jumped ship to be mediocre and maybe play a bowl game. If App St was still here for example it may not be 5 in a row. Montana is feeling the pains of the scandals we've seen the last 5 years. They will be back unless Engstroms continues to rule the roost and decimates the tradition of GRIZ football.

Meh...NDSU won 3 while GSU and App State were both in the FCS. Beat GSU twice in the semi finals.

Some good programs left but they have been replaced by other good programs (NDSU, SDSU etc).

Other than the 1996 Marshall team, there are very few FCS move up teams of the past who would have stood a chance against NDSU's best teams. Those App State teams would have been taken to the woodshed by the 2013 NDSU team.

A defense that is better than anything that's currently out there. When the playoffs start and you play nonconference teams, they gotta be shut down completely.

Apparently our coach and AD have yet to find someone to be our DC that follows a similar mindset as theirs.

Agree. Department wide, they aren't ready to move up. I think there used to be some kind of attendance requirement for FB that caused UI to play in Martin Stadium while they retrofitted the Kibbie. Not sure if Fargo could meet the standard or not.
