Disagree. They are both unique and bear spending some time in. Offseason of course.

Agree. While Glacier may generally be more "awe" inspiring, Yellowstone has its own unique beauty that is unlike anywhere else in America.

glacier, yellowstone, waterton, the cascades, etc... love those places. alas, everything kinda changed when i first visited the himalayas. holy cow.
This post smells like one of those bragging posts by “greenie” that you’re always complaining about

OMG! Today at coffee, the Dalai Lama made that exact comment to me about that post.

I used to think taking in a Missoula Riverhawks game was a cool way to spend an evening until I went to Game Seven of the World Series. Wow.

Bernice's for cup cakes is required. I have a personal limit of one per day, which I usually (but not always) manage to respect.

Tower Pizza is a must.

Oh. Wait. Never mind. Dammit.

Bridge Pizza is taking over that building and is currently getting a facelift.

Is it any good?

I think it’s some of the best pizza in town. They have a downtown location right across from the Missoulian.

It is great pizza. Although, I have to say everything changed after I had pizza made by Pete Zohria himself in Naples (FL). Babadaboopi!

Adriana Lima just read this post to me while we were lying naked in bed. We both busted a gut laughing.

I did not realize that ole's gas stations sell Vikings. So that's definately a good little snack for a fried breaded meatball on a stick. Seriously.

Last time I hung out with a friend in Missoula she bought me breakfast at Paul's pancakes. It was a long wait but it was good.

As you come north out of Idaho on I-15, if you are anywhere near Dell, MT about 5 -8 pm on Friday or Saturday night, stop in for the roast beef dinner at the schoolhouse restaurant (Dell "Calf-A", I kid you not). Unless you are a 19 year old kid with a bottomless pit, the half dinner is plenty. Half inch or more thick slab of roast beef, real mashed with gravy, veggie, salad and home made roll. Pretty much eat there every Friday and Saturday night during hunting season. Real Montana comfort food. Don't forget to put a pin in the map showing where you are from.

Paul’s is fantastic. Me and my buddy would go there almost weekly in college before he passed away. That place has real sentimental value to me.

As luck would have it, Mrs. Ursa & her foxy Russian sister are sitting right next to me @ Ruth’s Chris here in downtown Chicago. I shared your post thinking she’d find it as funny as I did. She handed me back the phone, bit the lip off her martini glass & shouted something angrily in Russian. I grabbed her sister by the arm to apologize and ask what she said. All I could understand were the words cap, ass, & thanks for the drinks fat guy.

Hopefully that’s enough notice, you’ve stopped taking my calls. Best of luck.

Howard's Pizza. Don't leave Missoula w/o trying it.

D2,

i'm sorry to disagree, have you ever eaten at one of the real Howard's Pizzas? I'm nothing but a spray of the falls but that restaurant in Missoula should never be called Howard's Pizza. Ever!

By chance, was there ever a big breasted Polish girl that worked at the Howard's Pizza in Missoula?

Serious question.

Have you tried Howard's in Missoula? You must have a thing about Polish girls; go to Howard's & find out for yourself.

Many times my friend! I drank so often at the Rusty Nail that I needed to get a tetanus shot. The Howard's Pizza is one of the only reasons to visit Great Falls. Seriously! Polish mail order brides are cheaper than you think! :thumb:

Back in the day when The Bridge had two places across the street form each other one was awesone the other was just so so. The one that was in the Crystal Theater had some of the best pizza in the state. They closed that one for some reason. Hopefully the new one will be as good as the one they closed.

avoid The Missoula Club for its putative hamburger "excellence," which is only a patty and an onion on a toasted bun. You have to be about 3 sheets to the wind to enjoy it.

You shut yer whore mouth.

I second AZ - Mo Club's burgers are the best in town.

They are not the best burgers in town but they are a far far cry from the worst. Problem with the Mo Club is they don't have fries.

There are some great trip suggestions here for you when you have more time. The one that doesn't take forever is the one that someone mentioned about going to Hamilton and having a burger at Nap's then taking the drive over Skalkaho Pass to Phillipsburg. Kick back there for a few hours with a beer and just relax. You can then head North and take the Interstate back to Missoula.
If you are coming to Missoula from one of the Metro areas in AZ I hate to say this but for the most part you will not be at all impressed with the food in this town for the most part.
I will say that most of the places mentioned above food wise are not worth the time or your money. I would check these ones out though.
Redbird, The Pearl and maybe Shadow's Keep overlooking Missoula for fine dining or a drink.
Definitely The Ox at 2-3 am for anything. Mo Club or 406 Burgers and Gyros for that.
Lisa’s Pasty Pantry for Pasty's and Fried Pork Chop sandwiches from scratch.
Paul's Pancake Parlour as breakfast food goes is really the only place in town worth eating at for breakfast.
If you decide to go to Mustard Seed DO NOT eat the food unless you are sitting at the bar for happy hour, it is all crap. The Happy Hour menu though is cheap and great as are the drinks.
One more thing, do not eat the Mexican food here, it all sucks. :thumb:
