Television (ESPNU) Question

Will tonight's game be broadcast exclusively on ESPNU, or can I get it on Pluto? My Spectrum package doesn't include ESPNU.

For you Spectrum customers out there, can I upgrade to the package that includes ESPNU and then immediately downgrade?

Okay, that was two questions...

Thanks for your assistance!

No idea on Spectrum but you can watch it streaming via the "Watch ESPN" app if you want to go that route...

Not looking good for it being on Pluto or WatchBigSky. It's not listed there yet anyway.

Looks like DirecTV Now (their online streaming service) has ESPNU and a 7 day free trial. Just make sure to cancel before that 7 days is up.

SlingTV has ESPNU as well and a 7 day free trial. Not sure if the free trial will include their "sports" package or not (which has ESPNU). It probably does though.

I haven't seen any other streaming links for it pop up yet but as it gets closer to game time I'd check over on Reddit's ncaaBBallStreams page to see if one gets listed there. If you use one of those streaming sites from that link make sure you have an ad blocker like uBlock Origin for your browser (use firefox or chrome), and don't install anything that those sites might try to get you to install.

Thanks Bjorn,

I have the Watch ESPN app, but it only works if you have ESPNU as part of you cable package.

Thanks Potomac. I will check out Sling on my Roku!

Man, i'm glad you said that. I just assumed I'd have access to ESPNU, but looks like I have the same problem, getting ESPNU through the app.

Crap...

Yeah, you can upgrade just with your remote in most cases, then call tomorrow and say it was a mistake, kid did it, etc. and probably pay very little. :thumb:

I had ESPNU on Spectrum last year with their silver package. Not sure about this year as I cancelled it due to the ridiculous cost. I went to the firestick option, but I kept spectrum's internet. I get ESPNU through an Xbox one I use simply for that purpose. Good luck!

Downloaded the sling tv app, and signed up for the Orange package with the sports ad-on. Free for 7 days, I’ll cancel before then.

I try not to be too critical of the conference and their decision to go to Reno, but giving ESPN2 coverage of the championship game sucks. Viewership of this game has to go way down being on ESPNU instead.

Wasn't our championship game 2-3 years ago on espn

Can't remember, but Saturday night of conference finals is a busy place. Probably lucky we're not on ESPN3.

That's exactly what I did with Roku, Jared. Thanks for the tip. I would have missed the sports package if you hadn't mentioned it!
