Dick Butkus was on sports radio here in Oregon yesterday 1080 Joe Radio. I think Dick said before he played LB he was a full back and said he always hated being talked at the chest having his arms wrapped up. Dick said your mind wants to break your fall and on many occasions you try to free an arm and risk loosing the ball. When he became a LB he said that how he went about tackling. He hated so he was sure others would as well. Worked well for him that's for sure. Maybe our D should watch some old Butkus film! Dick still sounds like one hard nosed Bear.
