Student Section Moving

- Would be nice to have the SEZ mimic the NEZ with the noise and enthusiasm, causing false starts and supporting our D when we are on that end. If the students were put there and showed up in full force, that would be great. I'd also love to purchase seats in the former student section.

- The shirtless bros with painted chests would freeze their asses of in the SEZ, even more than before. Not a bad or good thing, just an observation.

- sorry in advance, but here I go. The politicized nature of sexual assault issues has unfortunately made supporting Griz football a symbol. Support football = not supporting safety of female students. Support female safety = DON'T go to Griz football games. (also, replace "female safety" with adjunct professors, other non-athletic programs, etc). This could be part of the decline in student attendance. Not sure. It's misguided, obvi, but I think the effect is real.

Interesting take. If true, the area between Arthur and Mt. Sentinel would become a defacto homeless shelter. I think the decline in interest has more to do with the decline of quality of Griz football since BHs departure than all this horsesh*t about rape, etc. This politicizing everything is no more than grandstanding, and, if true dooms the University. A whole generation can't be that fu*king stupid.

I agree with some of that...it’s definitely not a whole generation. But, I’ve certainly heard the discussion - some who refuse to attend football games and directly associate it with assault. Same mindset that connected Bobby to things that happened when he wasn’t even here.

Oh, don’t sell them short, tourist.

No offense but stop whining. My son goes to school at the other U of M...Minnesota. Pays a hefty athletic fee and, as a student, still has to pay for season tickets. They are 100% in the end-zone and it is full and they are into the games. People love sitting in the NEZ (I am one)..the students would be just fine if they sat in the SEZ. If the NEZ can be a huge asset then the SEZ can be the same asset. Having the students and the NEZ rocking at the same time will create one loud stadium.
