Well, there have been comments about the bad behavior of Bobby’s players. At least, you nice little people can’t blame this on Bobby as much as you would like to try.

Honestly, the only comments I have seen mentioning Bobby are ones trying to make the case that player behavior under Stitt is worse...not getting in to that argument.

Judging by this article alone, if its true... it sounds like that WSU kid started something he couldn't finish... not giving Strong a free pass... he should have walked away... i hope the kid is OK...but witnesses say they saw him strike first... If you strike first, then put your hands up... doesn't mean you don't deserve to get hit.. can't call a "timeout" in the middle of a fight you started...

Also it says strong was not under the influence . . . that has to help his case a little

No matter how this actually ends, people will not be satisfied. If it is determined that he was acting in self-defense, and he continues to play this year (probably not this weekend, even if it was the case) people will claim it is just another case of a Griz football player getting off easy (I do not agree with that opinion, BTW). If he is kicked off the team without any charges, people will cry that he was unjustly kicked off the team. It is sad that he and the other student athlete put themselves in this situation. I hope the WSU student athlete recovers and is fine. I also hope both young men learn from this. What a shame.

Stranger things have happened. In college, I got into a fight with a kid and I pretty much started it. but that kid ended up busting a glass mug across my face slicing my neck open very close to my carotid artery. We still ended up wrestling around for a while when I realize I was almost bleeding to death. Went to the ER and as they were burning my wound shut the cops showed up and wanted me to press charges and give them all of the details. I told them not to worry about it because I threw the first punch. The other kid came in shortly after me to get his lip stitched up. Nothing more ever became of it

Strong will be done for the season. Noted in the document is the fact he "confessed". Self-defense claim would work back in the house, not after chasing the track guy down who had his hands up with open palms says a witness. Strong's life was not in danger and first episode had passed, no matter who was at fault for that. Strong instigated the second confrontation. Pretty much a slam-dunk. Plea deal and career over. Sad.
