As I said, "Is there anything you won't excuse?" A guy who is being chased deciding not to run any longer and to make a stand against people threatening him is NOT committing assault and it's utterly ridiculous to say he is. That is as simple a case of self defense as you could make. I like how, suddenly, the guy is "coming at" them by not running anymore. ........But, my question is if Mr Meyring is as big and aggressive as he appears, would it appear in the heat of the moment from Strong's perspective that he was trying to get up to continue the fight, and in that light, still be considered at least from Justin's point of view self defense?

Lets hope not. Depending on the prosecutor, that kind of a grey area is something they may not feel they should sort out but rather leave it to a jury...... So then come the charges.

Hopefully they will decide it was a fight and that a horrible accident occurred

Prosecutors' ethics don't generally allow the "throw it at the wall and see if it sticks" approach to charging decisions. Unless the prosecutor subjectively believes that there is enough evidence to convince a juror of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, it would be unethical to charge the case. So if the prosecutor has doubts about the facts surrounding the self defense plea, he/she should not charge the case. That said, sometimes external pressure (political considerations) can lead a prosecutor to charge a case that should not be brought. The system is run by humans, and sometimes they do things wrong.

First, I have no idea PR's real name, nor do I care to. Second, we all have our own accomplishments in life. Many of us will argue that they are greater accomplishments than his just as he is quick to let us know we are all only measly peasants compared to him. Grading accomplishment is all in the eye of the grader and what they value to be important. Is being a lawyer in Missoula MT the current gold standard of the world? Third, His extreme arrogance brings us to question him, we don't seek it. If the guy could learn a little humility as well as the ability to entertain the idea that there is a chance he could possibly be wrong one time in his life, his "accomplishments" would carry much more weight with egrizers.

Enter PR's post about how spectacular he is, how many celebrities he knows, and how many nights Jesus spent at his lake house this summer in 5.....4.......3.......

Strong arrested but not charged, at least yet. Suspended for 2 games by UM. Two other players apparently with him at the party/flight. A witness said 1 of them also punched the WSU guy. Another witness didn't seem to say that. One player described by witness as having dreadlocks. Media report that 1 is a "person of interest". I was told that, contrary to some posts on egriz, Sanders was not at the party. The other 2 guys don't seem to be suspended. At least in the early days, those 2 didn't seem to have talked to the police or provided their accounts. Epperly moves into the starting role. He is a good player.
