Stitt on the fm

Said CSM had one drive that was 24 plays in around 5 minutes..... Think on that for awhile.

I think he said goal is 80 plays per game, but that they have had 110 in some of their games at CSM. Not sure where the 150 number came from.

And yes the fight song lesson was the worst thing I can remember ever listening to, ever. Ever.

Ever, ever, ever . . .

I'm wondering why his goal is to run 90 plays. My goal is to run 1 play for a TD per possession. I think 90 possessions is a tad high, so that means Stitt's goal is to have some plays not go for TDs. Why shoot so low? I'm starting to wonder if we've got the right guy here.

Yes indeed I had been listening to big g and my brain fell into a quagmire.
I did incite small riot and 100 plays will be the norm. 150 Not.
OK you all caught me in a big g.
I take full blame for the false mention of 150 plays. To make it all worse...Peter....
Peter did a bad job, not one person was able to call in. The fight song was as bad as my 150!
U can call me names for the false info but please don't call me big g.

Exactly! Where is the fire?! It's simple. Seven possessions, 56 points, game over!

Yeah, we go for two every time.

Glad I'm not alone. I guess some fans are fine with an offense that fails 83+ times per game. I'm not sure when mediocrity and moral victories became a part of UM Football. I hope this guy can hate the Cats and make the semis enough to be a real Griz coach.

I call bullshit on 100 to 150 plays per game!!

Thats a good one!!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's already said in multiple other interviews they want to run around 90 and that the average is around 65 or something like that.

I think he said that he wants to run 90 plays a game...150 is unfathomable...have you ever watched football?

 Did you read my post...?

I guess those so-called fans all want orange slices and participation ribbons!

Stitt read my incorrect 150 plays per game number and emailed me to re-correct my numbers to read: It is not how many plays we run it's how many more points we have than our opponent and that is what counts at the end of the game.

Also he said "we try to get points by running as many plays as we can because that is a big part of our offense" ....I am slow but I think I get it.

So I have a double double correct? Being wrong on this board is far worse than losing a game!

Small club, like your circle or "cirlce." People worry about trying something new or thinking outside of the box. The same people complain about running the same plays and gameplan over and over again that doesn't work.

The impression I get is Stitt is smart enough and open enough to make adjustments during a game, throughout the season, and from one year to the next if his original ideas are falling short.

Just trying to have a little fun with the coach...
Asked a bunch of questions about his offensive philosophy, assistant coaches and the fly sweep phenomenon...I was pretty disappointed that we didn't get any calls from Griz fans, despite the promotion of the interview...in case he's on again, the numbers are 406-721-1290 OR 1-800-568-5309...he was originally supposed to be on for an hour..live in the studio, but we had to cut it to 30 minutes on the phone..or it would have been a lot more fun... Coach Stitt was a very good sport during the interview.

Peter, please let us know times when he is on again. Thanks again :thumb:

We got to hear a more candid Stitt last night at the Griz - cat game. Mick Delaney and his wife, along with Justin Green were sitting right behind us......coach Stitt and family showed up and visited with MD and JG for awhile.
lots of interesting recruiting talk going on, Justin is a busy guy...... Also thought it interesting as I was in the end / corner / nosebleed section and they were seated behind us.....

They get those seats so people don't eavesdrop on them.

They also are not in the spotlight with people bothering them, when they sit further up.
