I have no magic insight into what the recruiting priorities of the UM coaching staff have been for the past several years. Perhaps they have tried to recruit good O-linemen ... but that still seems to be a major weakness of this team.

Either we just don't have the players, or we have them and they're not being "coached up" properly, or we have faced three great D lines that make the Griz O-line look bad. Take your pick ... either way, it's not pretty.

Has it been recruiting are the lack of development over the previous 3 years?

It sounded like a crazy game for you today. I'll say it again, Prukop is your leadoff and clean up hitter.

Anyway, this is in response it IdahoGriz. Wing T? Really? In the last two games the Griz have been beaten by a triple option team and a basic pro style offense. There is a reason most pro teams play a pro style. There is also a reason the last four FCS championships were won by a team that plays a pro style. At least having the option to insert a FB and TE into the game should be available, but the Griz don't even have any on the roster.

Sorry 'bout that. Pushed the notion a bit much. Personally, I like a scheme that has a tight end to go to, and do not see any reason they can't be used in a spread offense. But I'm not ready to quit on a scheme that chooses to do without that.

As for a tradition fullback, that position is almost extinct in the NFL ... I suppose because the rules are now so heavily in favor of the passing game. Of course, they do have "big backs" who are considered "situational" players, but that's not quite the same thing.

LTCF, sleep well, from what I saw today, the Cats may not lose again for a while. Yes, I make no bones. MSU's defense SUCKS. There's no nice way to say it. But if Prukop stays healthy, he's going to win the Payton award and CARRY MSU to a lot of wins this season. Just like I think the Griz will blast NAU Saturday, I think the Cats will flat out WAX Cal Poly.
