Step back, take a breath, move on.

Griz will recover. looking at the schedule everyone in the BSC will end up with at least 1 loss. Sounds like nau's qb went down with an injury yesterday. Watch the game again and I think Coach was right basically 3 bad plays and one screw up on special teams. game could have been 48-21...if we don't shore it up next week I will concede we have bigger issues than a few bad plays.
3 bad plays gave up 55 points. And almost the same last week to a dog shit EWU?

Sorry bro…strongly disagree. Reread your first two sentences. They apply to the players as well. But we are what we are at this point…EVERY game is gonna be a shootout, and we’ll see how many we can come out on top.
Agree... every game is going to come down to which team has the most arrows in the quiver! Clock management may end up being our new defensive strategy...

The good news is historically you change your opinion as much as Growler changes his underwear. At least 2-3 times a year.
Except my statements are facts, not opinion. Can't change facts. 35, 49, 55. That's a terrific defensive trend, no?

I think the difference is the gris defense last year was very good and could keep game close. This year the defense has no chance at stuffing passing teams and its going to put total pressure on the offense. The gris made a qb change lat year that then allowed the offense to click. There is no singular change the defense can make and honestly I think this year its poor scheme. The scheme is very aggressive and with a weak secondary and a d-line that isn’t perfect it’s exposing the defense. DC needs to tone down the blitzing and pressure or d-line needs to get better pressure . If not the gris are going to struggle
The QB change was not the only thing. If you remember, the staff also made the decision to widen the splits on the Oline. That's a schematic change, and that made a big difference in the offense's production. I'm hopeful that they will do something defensively so we can at least minimize opposing offenses just a tad.

The most important change last year was with the O-line. Bobby sent a message after the NAU game that you're not going to quit on your teammates and benched an all-conference player. If you talk to the players, they will tell you it sent a clear message that changed their team chemistry. I suspect you're going to see Bobby do it with the D this year.

Does a tad mean they'll only be giving up 45 a game...? Asking for a friend...

If they held teams anywhere between mid 20s-low 30s, they should be able to win almost all of our remaining games. Starts with baby steps, but we got an NAU team with a backup QB coming to town this week. Seize the opportunity headed into the bye.

Quarterback aside, if we give up 40+ to NAU its going to be a dogfight....

I heard the Defense problem has been fixed. It turns out they were reading the playbook upside-down and were running a 5-3-3. This explains why the backend were on islands and getting beat. Redshirt Frosh turned the book right side up for everyone and we will now be back to running the 3-3-5. All is good now!

Noted, that you were wrong again
