STATS Preseason Top 25 - Griz #7

Come November 22nd, the #1 ranked home team will host the 8th ranked neighbors from across the hill.

A decisive win and a 12-0 record sets the GRIZ up to face the nodakers in Nashville, and GRIZ fans are encouraged to arrive by Tuesday of championship week to ensure that every ounce of fried chicken in the entire state of Tennessee has not already been gobbled up.
Maybe a pregame bison burger will go over this time in Nashville?
Last time in Frisco, I made hasenpfeffer and NO ONE would eat any of it. A whole pack of Grizzlies afraid to eat rabbit.
The most common question I got was, where'd you get a rabbit? I bought it at a Cajun meat mark.
The dumbest question, how'd you cook it? It's a fargon stew, I broiled it!
Now you know Griz fans, why we lost, I could get no one from Montana to eat rabbit in Frisco. 😖

Definitely feels like the field is wide open this year with basically all of the blue blood FCS programs (and the Cats) having unknowns at the QB position. I also think that the Cats +1 run game isn't going to be nearly as effective without a 6ft 200lb 4.4 unicorn to account for every snap. There's just no way they're going to be able to replicate that kind of season again.
Obviously there will be dudes that step up throughout college ball. As a Montanan, I was definitely cheering for the Cats to take one home for the State and the Big Sky! They obviously pissed one away there. Losing Mellot, Grebe, amongst others is going to cause a drop off. I think the playing field looks pretty level in the big sky between us, cats, Idaho and UC Davis. Missouri Valley is going to have more parity this year also I would think? What kind of dudes do the Dakotas have coming back this year?

You implied that by making your post. Otherwise, why make the post? Either stop with your nonsense or admit that you are wrong. I’ve got you in this one.
It was just a reference that they have finished a conference in 5th recently, nothing more. You take it as you want though. You ain't got shit.

Sure, no one on egriz knew the Griz had ever finished 5th in the Big Sky. You really added to the conversation. Actually, a waste of space. I've got more in virtually any category you want to compare including knowledge of football and Griz football and football-playing background.

Get out. I will never understand this.
I'm right there with you North.
I don't want to hear who you're a fan of every other day of the year.
I don't understand why that team wears an 'M' on their helmet, I don't care who they are trying to be.
We have always seemed to have an identity crisis coming from that side, but let's not ever forget, "The State University of Montana" is in Missoula. Anything that followed the one formerly known as Montana a&p is a forgery.
Because their math has always been off, we should remind our neighbors that 1984 was before 1995 and 2001. This is why, Griz Nation, if you are sending your kids off to school for engineering, Montana Tech is the better choice.

Great post!!

Are you from Montana?
Does it matter?

Do Auburn fans/alumni root for Alabama just because they're from Alabama? Think Beaver fans want Oregon to win a national title for the home state? North Carolina fans want Duke to win an ncaa basketball title to bring a trophy home to North Carolina?

This whole "but they're from Montana so I gotta root for em" thing is just so bizarre. Sorry, I will root for individuals on msu's programs because I have some relationship to them. But if the university wins so much as win one game/match in any sport in the next 100 year, it'll be too soon.

Anyone ever hear of the term "hated rival?"
I would add in Texas and A&M to that, but I am right here in the middle of that one and I didn't think either of those huge fan bases matched our fury until this debate kicked off. Those two don't want to see the other side win as much as one matchup on a play.
The one I particularly can't stand is Oklahoma/OSU because every time you run into one of them from either side, they want to make your game theirs. "Oh, you have a bedlam game?" No jackass, it's the brawl, and get it right, it's Griz-cat if you don't call it that, your loyalty is in question with me.
I'm not sure about that great divide trophy, looks like a bear took a dump and they made a statue of it.
Like Everett said, individuals, okay, I'm sociable with my friends who went to school in Bozeman, but we need not talk about sports. That's all this is at the end of the day, but don't get me started on my feeling of the partial treatment they get from the legislature.
