Johnson's taking the QB1 helm (I think) and once he gets more time/familiarity in the program he'll only get better. But damn... I'm excited for what Britt's shown, and honestly Brown looks good too. I think we're in pretty good shape at QB.

QB success depends on how well our O-Line can block....If they are sub-par again, we go no where.
So I guess we went no where last year.....

Well if one win in the playoffs is satisfactory to you, then okay for you. I want to be in the NC, I want it all! Just like every player on the team I am sure does?

Doesn't Brown always look good in practice? But, come game time....eh, not so much. And there in lies the problem.

Never said it was satisfactory; said is was not "no where." 10-3 season in spite of many injury headwinds and dominating late season wins over MSU and EWU is far from "no where." And blaming any lack of success solely on the OL is lame.

If you’re not first, you’re last.

so is blaming injuries for not going further in the playoffs.

I think quarterfinals was pretty impressive considering our entire running back room were freshmen. This is what I hate about the O-line sucks argument. Of course they’re not gonna look good at times when all you got in the backfield is true freshmen running backs. Cool your shit dude.

Think there was also a notable early season win last year as well! Funny how some don’t want to acknowledge how the program has grown after a decade of mediocrity.

The program is much better than it was under Stitt. It's pretty close to being back. With Knight and a healthy Humphrey, it would have been back last fall. 10-3 and 10-4 and in the round of 8 is pretty darn good.

The program is in fantastic shape right now. I don't get the negativity. We beat a Pac 12 team and ended the season destroying both our conference rivals before losing to a JMU team that was the second best team in FCS. I'm not being snarky towards the cats, I just firmly believe it. I'm most excited by the fact we might actually have QB depth which has plagued us for a long time. I'm as curious as anyone how our oline will come together, but along with QB, we might have one of the better RB rooms in the FCS when all is said and done, which is only remarkable considering last year. My hats off to Xavier for taking punishment as a stable back as a true freshman. Super talented. Excited to see his progression with Knight and crew. Defense is loaded.

Right on all points.

Good to see that 4 seasons and a pandemic down the road Coach Stitt is still taking shots on here. I had only two complaints with him, one, he never seemed to embrace maroon. He was always in the media wearing black, grey, silver, granite, green cap, any damn colour but our beloved maroon. Second, he didn't stick to his guns; he was right about punting vs going for it on fourth down, he was right about turning down field goals for shots at the end zone, our play count should have been 100+ every single game. He didn't fail because his ideas were wrong, he failed because he started listening to boosters and three yards and a cloud of dusters who are still mad Pop Warner started using the forward pass.

I’ve given up. Some people on here hold grudges like women.

Is that hold grudges like women hold grudges or hold grudges like the grudges are women?
Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women!

you certainly alluded to it, whether you'll admit it or not. i guess i should have ignored it, though, given that you aren't even a genuine supporter of the university of montana.

Dude Kem does more for UM in a weekend than you have in 20 years. When was the last game you attended?
I know you’re just trying to troll Kem but it’s pathetic. You were the one who actively campaigned against rehiring Coach Hauck.
Oh wait, it wasn’t BH you campaigned against, it was the “process”.
