I would guess there is 5-6,000, based on what I have heard.
It's supposed to be 55 degrees on Saturday. Translated to e-griz/native Missoulian, that is 15 degrees, with a below zero windchill. You'll see the theatrics in the post game wrap up.

And does anyone want to throw out a number predicting attendance..... if the attendance is sparse you really feel it in Wa-griz. When they travel the thing around the state to the smaller stadiums feels like it’s a bigger deal. Would be sweet to market it and turn it into a well attended rite of spring in the rtd. Thnaks

Perfectly good fare for most but the onions and mustard made for a long drive home. My system can better digest hot dogs - not a quality health statement on my part I know.

There are plenty of rabid Griz fans in Great Falls that constantly travel to see the Spring Game. Meanwhile the scats have their Triangle Classic here every year. Somethings amiss with this scheduling.... GO GRIZ!!!!

A couple years ago my wife and I went out to breakfast the morning after the cats scrimmage. We were wearing our Griz stuff like always. There were about 15-20 msu quarterback club members eating in the restaurant. We got so many dirty looks, all I could do was grin. Like I say, they hate us cuz they ain't us!

The reason that the scrimmage is never scheduled for Great Falls is because the local GSA already has the spring barbecue in May. From my understanding the Great Falls GSA spring barbecue is the largest GSA fundraiser in the state outside of the one in Missoula. The barbecue is always held in May and has become a well attended event. They would never be able to bring in as much money by hosting the spring game as they do with the barbecue.

Makes sense but still a bummer. I hope to make the bbq this year!

Stitt had one spring game in Missoula, it was dumping rain the whole time I remember that. I think there was 3000(ish) there. They cancelled a lot of the pre-game events due to weather. I helped sling beers at the GSA tailgate and everyone just huddled under the tents to stay dry.
The two road spring games were Butte and Helena. Both really well attended, like you said Dutch, being away from Missoula it had a lot of excitement built around it in the local community. Helena's they had Carroll scrimmage beforehand as well.
Best attended spring game we've ever had was the year we finally got lights in the stadium and that was essentially the unveiling of them. Early evening start, 60 degree weather, great attendance, they estimated around 6000 people.
