I recently observed that Western Oregon is an NCAA DII program, and that Eastern Washington played them during the course of the 2013 season. On Sept. 7 to be exact. Or is my mind playing tricks on me?

The Griz haven't played one, and I don't remember asserting that they have. I will ask again: what next level teams have Eastern Washington University from Cheney Washington played this year?

And neither was Western Oregon. Why in the world would you play a DII team instead of adding another FBS game to play a "next level" team?

Observer is going to have to get used to observing the fact the Griz are the class of the BigSky agian. Just as they have been for the vast majority of the last three decades.

Sorry our turmoil spell didn't last longer so you and the others could enjoy the illusion of parity in the BigSky a little while longer...

actually - EWU has played 2 FBS teams this year and beat a then Nationally Ranked team... but you guys go back to playing for dollars while the real teams play for pride....

They are the team that was handed a trip to the championship game a couple years back. I can't wait until October 26 hopefully setting up a trip that this EWU team doesn't want to take. One to Fargo.

There seems to be a big deal in playing an FBS school. Maybe we should ask little brother in Bozeman how they feel about the results of their adventure to SMU this year. I bet they would forget about the money and go to Fargo if they had a do over.

It would have done them good. Would you rather get a 6th home game against a DII and lose two starters in the process, or play a team that you could potentially see in the playoffs and get a good feel for what they are like?

Now if they're able to make it the level of intensity will be 10 fold.
