I can't really speak about the SS game, but against Weber it would have made no difference. No QB can do much with their butt on the ground or defenders in their face all game long and I don't believe his running ability would have mattered enough to change the outcome of that game.mthoopsfan said:oldrunner said:I think that most coaches aren't into excuses as much as we fans are. UM under performed their expectations last year primarily by losing to UI at home. Losing on the road to a couple of other good teams didn't hurt as much as losing in a complete blowout to the Bobs. The NDSU loss didn't matter one iota. Losing at home to the spray painters put a cloud over the whole season. You have to protect your home turf. :thumb:
Avoiding my question, huh?
Does that answer your question any better?
Here is the stat line for that game:
Total yards -- UM114, WSU 345
Pass yards -- UM 72, WSU 153
Rush yards -- UM 42, WSU 192
First Downs -- UM 10, WSU 18
The score was much closer.
