I cast my vote for Brady

shay's release was so slow and painful to watch...and he has no arm strength. I coulndnt take another game of him being the starter. At least Trent has room to improve and can make things happen with his legs...I agree with the guy who said SSH is the worst qb to ever start for the griz.grizatwork said:AlaskaGriz said:SSH is the worst QB I have seen start for the Griz, I like what MD did on the recruiting trail but it he starts SSH I have zero confidence in his coaching and decision making ability.
Then you obviously did not see any games that McKinney played in. If you think SSH played worse than McKinney, you are crazy. If it is even close come opening day, they better let Gustafson play and let him learn during the early part of the season so we have a chance of getting better. Either that, or pray that Simis is ready to go as a true freshman. SSH may not be the answer, but you can bet it is not McKinney either. Given my choice between the 2, I would take SSH though. I would take out the zone read part of the offense. We have enough of an offensive line and talent at running back that we don't need a true dual threat quarterback. I would rather have some threat of completing a pass past the line of scrimmage.
It's not that bad of a release...becker2117 said:shay's release was so slow and painful to watch...and he has no arm strength. I coulndnt take another game of him being the starter. is that a picture or a video of him throwing a pass? All joking aside, SSH just doesnt have athletic ability to play at this level....he cant move in the pocket, he takes too long to get rid of the ball. There were times last year when he made the correct decision but took so long to get rid of the ball it was too late. Im not saying trent was amazing last year, but he has an upside, and is athletic and has arm strength.....he can improve with time in the system. With all that said, im excited about about Brady G....but with a few things i read on twitter during the trial about Jane Doe saying in a text something about she not thinking JJ did anything wrong or something along those lines, it may all be a moot point, with our #1 qb in place.NikeGrizz said:It's not that bad of a release...becker2117 said:shay's release was so slow and painful to watch...and he has no arm strength. lol nice stat! and im not saying he was accurate last season, but look at Cole B his freshman year...he was brutal....kids grow up, evolve, become better players. Shay was not accurate either...the difference between SSH and TM is that TM has a good arm, doesnt take all day to get rid of the ball and can be effective making thigs happen with his legs. If trent continues to work and become more comfortable in the offense as he grows up he could be an effective qb....as for SSH i just dont see the physical tools..he is a statue back there with an extremly slow release and weak arm..i wish it wasnt true but thats how i see it.stubbins said:becker2117 said:is that a picture or a video of him throwing a pass? TM could be a great qb for the Griz if we never, ever, eeeeevvvvveeeeeeeeeer had to throw the ball. He just isn't accurate past 2.4 yards...(made up stat)
Huh?? I can agree on the slow release... but he was a sihtload better than the Misfirin' Hawaii'n. Better go rewatch your North Dakota game.becker2117 said:shay's release was so slow and painful to watch...and he has no arm strength. I coulndnt take another game of him being the starter. He has a weak arm...he floats passes, and he has a weak arm! Im sorry i forgot for a qb to be good they arent allowed to be mobile or short..right?Grizmayor said:Huh?? Yes it was. McKinney's would have been worse. Cat defense was the best we played against all year.
