Obviously not the same scale but worked pretty well for Julian Edelman. I like this guy being a team player and willing to accept a role, also it leaves the option for some WR throws and other trickery.
Yeah, Edelman played QB at Kent state. He was drafted as a special teams returner and receiver. I'm not seeing the comparison here even with a macro view. Tebow seems more comparable after starting at qb and being asked to play TE.... :egriz: Looking forward to the "one or two" wr pass - pass attempts next year

Do you think Stitt should just cut Simis then?
First of all, your question is leading and a little off base of the discussion. Stitt will know after spring ball if M.S. will fit into the plans for the fall 2016 Montana Grizzlies. The roster is wide open right now and it's anyone's guess... :egriz: I was a little amused at how posters were throwing around names in comparison when it just wasn't close enough for debate.( In my non humble opinion)

Another assholish post by Rim Job. What were the odds?

I actually happen to lean more toward MS not making a big impact in the receiving corps but I would love to be surprised. The issue I have is how you post your opinions. No need to be an ass to a fellow Griz fan.

Here are two examples of how G4Live and AZGrizfan disagreed with another post about the same kid yet were not all douchey . . .

Contrast the difference and then ask yourself if this could be the reason you have no friends.
AZ can disagree with me at his discretion, and he does. He has made it known that he doesn't like my tone. I'm good with that, and I'm not seeking his support on anything...ever. I come here to post football and "nothing else". If I post something ignorant you'll be in line to criticize me on it... :egriz: I'm not sure what you call friends, however I hope you aren't referring to this website. I have more friends than I could possibly find time to spend with. (we do congregate on weekends in the fall) I'm also at every f.....g home game, (playoffs included) no matter the weather or the holiday. Can you say the same?... :egriz: If you are trying to make a point that I'm salty and arrogant, you can have a brownie pickle. Spending time on this website and catching a game every year or two could explain why you may be delusional about understanding the program?

1. Move to WR.
2. Cut.
3. Keep at QB.

What should Stitt have done in your opinion?

Easy Griz fans....take a deep breath or a big drink and get on the Griz train. It's all good. Remains to be seen just how good. At this point all of you are great and excellent posters with tons of knowledge so why ruin it while all of you are.....completly sober.

He can't make the second and third reads in the pocket. This is why you can use a "Sharpie" on line 3. As Stitt evaluates the transfer Q.B. in the spring he can decide on lines 1 and 2. Time to hit the bar downtown. Good advice Ursa... :egriz:

Wait, so, if someone doesn't go to every game, it could explain why they are delusional about the program?
You're a piece of work. Post some more logos. They really add to your "football posts" and "nothing else."

So, he should have either cut him or moved him to WR. He moved him to WR. Are you upset with that decision? If so, you think he should have been cut. If not, you think Stitt made a good decision. Got it.

also remember sims being a past qb in the system knows all the routes by all the receivers on any called play which makes him very versatile and can throw the football on specific plays called....also being the son of a coach if I recall correctly, so has been around the game his whole life and has that savvy that cannot be taught but must be caught....imo this makes him very logical and potentially valuable person to have a the receiver position...

somehow this thread went south....my point is he should make a very good possession receiver.....

Ah yes, the old "I'm a better, more knowledgeable fan because I go to every home game" argument. Gets me every time.

His posts have nothing to do with the position change.....they are about all the comparisons of him to the Edelman types and thinking he could be the next Roberts without him ever having played a real down as a WR in college......

He can succeed in this position and there's a lot of possibilities for him to succeed in various formations and plays.
He 'can' and there are 'possibilities ' but let's be honest this isn't good for Simis. It isn't like Stitt is telling him "we love you at QB, but we need you at WR!" This is Stitt telling Simis he's not good enough and there's not room for him in the QB rotation.
Worked out pretty well for Josh Paffhausen.

An absolute bullseye to the center of the target "box"! F... sometimes I wonder why I bother? Thanks for taking the baton and laying exhaust fumes in their faces... :egriz:

My guess is...if Stitt did not see him as being able to make it at receiver talent wise/skill set wise in the future (maybe not this year) MS would have been told to look at other options (transferring etc.) The fact that he is also willing to switch from QB, says a lot about his "team player" mentality. I hope he make it .

EXACTLY. Not one person knows what he will or won't be but Stitt obviously believes strongly enough that he can be successful at WR to give him a chance. If you look at his high school numbers you know he is a heck of an athlete. I sure hope he proves to be great. I applaud anyone who sets ego aside and who wants to do whatever it takes to be apart of something amazing like Griz football.
