Signing Day Central

So has there been a change in recruiting rules, as far as who the school can comment on? In the past, the school could not comment on non scholarship players (walk-ons) until they were enrolled in school. This year, we seem to be announcing our walk-ons as well. Anyone know on this?

what the hell. gogriz just has names, ht-wt and hometown. no bios. missoulian didn't do anything until today. this has been anticlimactic.
Click on the persons name...they have a video for each player...

This. Love that O lineman's video.

Not sure. So far they have only announced acceptance for admission which in the past has been code for walk on. May not hear anything else about them from the athletic department.

Yup, I wouldn't expect to hear any official comments from Mick tonight on that group. He may talk about them as a whole, but not by name or individual. Someone on BN is already accusing the Griz of violating NCAA rules for even announcing walk-ons, which is a joke, but I don't think Mick can verbally comment on them. Unless rules have changed.

Reggie Tilleman is the son of former Havre High great Lee Tilleman, who went on to play at Wazzu. I believe Lee is one of the last Blue Ponies to ever be named a Parade High School All-American. Reggie is also the grandson of Chinook and Grizzly Hall of Famer Mike Tilleman. Some good football genes there.

The link states we added 24. It looks like that could be even more. Evan Defer, Carson King and Peter Brewer aren't mentioned. I have seen a couple posts that Defer has signed his LOI and King is accounted for but might not be part of this class. Any word on Brewer? I've got a lot of video to go over the next couple of days. Looks like we've added a lot of depth. The competition for starting jobs is going to really heat up over the next couple of years. I don't see anyone that we really need to step in right away. I would love to see all of these guys red shirt next year.

The local Paper in Los Alamos says Peter Brewer accepted a partial scholarship to play for the Griz.

Shows you how old I am, that I am astonished that Mike Tilleman's grandson could be playing for the Griz.

Older than me. I played against his dad in Junior high basketball.

Lee was Mike's Nephew, therefore Reggie is a great-nephew. Just for clarification. Still good genes. Big MO FO's and the good mean kinda nasty to them...all good.

Interesting Billings Gazette article.

Here is the other surprise signed by MSU today: Garrett Marino 6-2 274 Mission Viejo, CA.
Here is what Colter had to say about him:

I hate to hyperbolize a kid I've known about for less than an hour, but strictly based on high school film, Marino's is the best I've seen in seven years covering the FCS and recruiting. And, like 99 said, it's not even close.

I thought Prevost was great. But you can see why he's FCS. He's a tweener. This dude is a meat truck with absurd speed. His film is like watching the 90s movie "the Program" with all the steroids and unrealistic hits. Except his hits are real. Man alive, I've watched his tape three times already! Somebody help me!

Sounds like Colter needs to go rub one out....
Fucking awesome!!
