Once again, where exactly does it say that Pflug will not redshirt?

Dude.. Im not going to get into a pissing match with you! It doenst i guess.. my bad!!

You can have a player redshirt but still fully participate in spring practice. Fall practice too, I believe. As long as they don't play in a game, you're good.

Can we @ least align around the fact that Pflug is "undersized but superbly mobile?". Sorry, forgot, a passer too. I'm still looking for something the equal of "slippery power."

Doesn't the article say that it's Gus, Chalich, Simis and Prater--in that order--so far?

Since when do eGrizzers read? It appears speculation is the order of the day. Reading comprehension - apparently not our strongest point.

. Prater, I believe is on military financial assistance, so no scholarship for him this year, unless the GRIZ offer him 1 starting the upcoming season.

I think its called the GI Bill and college fund. If he is getting the full benefit, it is better than a full ride scholarship!

From the little I have heard, top 3 so far are Gustafson, Simis, and Prater, and it has been a close competition with those 3. We already know Pflug will likely redshirt due to the QB depth. That would leave the Bigfork kid, Chalich and Weyer in limbo. Stitt mentioned a few weeks ago, there is a possibility of narrowing it down to 5 qbs for this season.

I see Chalich staying, I would think he has a scholarship committed to him this coming year. Weyer could xfr or change position. I believe the Bigfork kid is a walk on transfer. Prater, I believe is on military financial assistance, so no scholarship for him this year, unless the GRIZ offer him 1 starting the upcoming season.

It will be interesting to see who prevails as #1 and how close the competition is going into fall camp. Either way, I will be looking forward to GRIZ football this season.

The article posted by the O.P. states otherwise as PR had mentioned.

I am posting what I heard from a few people who observed. Strictly their opinion. :thumb:

NO WAY does one FCS school have multiple elite QB's (even 3).....if one doesn't stand out fairly quickly seems we have multiple mediocre ones.....

Why not? Doesn't violate any known law of physics. Talent often flies under the radar or just needs the right situation to flourish. Granted, it seems unlikely but I am not ready to make such a statement given what is known. Why do people feel the need to rush to judgment when none is needed? Time will tell.

Yes, a key component of success is opportunity. Without the chance all you can be is potential. That is why youth sports exist, to give kids a place to succeed.

Just because I know all of griz nation is anxiously waiting for my input on this one, my opinion is that if Brady Gustafson is the best option you have running this offense, that should probably make you nervous. Anyway, enough about my opinions, I'm still waiting to hear Alpha's opinion about Simis. Can he be the guy or is he automatically ruled out because it appears he may have accuracy issues, and Alpha has always said accuracy cannot be taught, you either have it or you don't.

Maybe accuracy cant be taught, but it certainly can be improved with proper coaching and repetition. Joe Montana case in point. College years were very inconsistent, good games and really bad games (he did win the ones that mattered). Poor footwork, weak arm, inaccurate were among the knocks. He became the greatest pro QB that ever lived, mostly because of coaching.

Thats just not true ask the boys at MooU or EWU. they have better back ups than starters. The only reason VA started was his dancing, he won't even be missed

Kind of how most Griz fans felt about McQueary, when all of 'Scat nation was gaga over his signing....we saw how that worked out last November, didn't we.

Accuracy can absolutely be improved by coaching. Better footwork and arm motion for sure make a difference. There are definitely guys that just have that "feel" for tossing the ball. Those guys are unique though, I think.
