Semifinal game tix

Msu can handle tickets however they see fit.
My question is what if the extra tickets bought up don't get sold because of greed by seller?
This could lead to lower attendance with tickets going unsold on secondary sites.
The game will still be plenty full however they are risking a sell out ( of actual bodies in seats)
and many Blue collar fans (the ones that bring the noise) will miss out if they don't have a connection.
I hope it is rich transplants in attendance drinking wine and golf clapping for the cats.

What?!? Why do bubs just say such stupid shit?
Dudes can get twice as many tix for a game that is more than double normal demand. The most expensive and exclusive seat in the country. Both prices and demand are through the roof. Motivation for scalping has never been higher or more available.
They never “requested” twice as many before. Suddenly, they have the ability to pay for their season tix while still getting their requested amount.
It’s the good ole boys club taken to the extreme. Only way locals get in is if they beg.
It’s the worst form of privatization I’ve ever seen.
Right now there are 32 listings on SeatGeek. Would you consider that a lot?

I do well for myself. I like my football team and want to support it. I got extra tickets and I'm giving, not selling, them to my friends who I know can't afford to regularly go. That's what the majority of people I know are doing. If you want to consider that the "good ole boys club", where locals have to beg, then go for it.

Selling extra tickets means he doesn't care about the game?
Who said they are extra? They may have sold their other 2 tickets already or given them away. Even if they are - why sell them to other Cat fans at that price? Especially seats that close to the field.

60 listed on seat geek. And you yourself said that most people don’t know which extra tickets they got yet. So I’m assuming once that happens this number will climb.

Right, you are the only one that can make assumptions. My bad. Also, why should you care what they are sold for?

There will be a lot more and the prices will drop. But still it would surprise me if there are more than 1500 Griz fans. I think it is funny that the Cat fans on here think it is something close to treason if someone sells a family member or lifetime friend that is a Griz fan a couple tickets. I have gotten Cat fan relatives and friends tickets to Cat Griz in Missoula. It is an insignificant amount.

No need to get ass hurt - again. I guess it is my turn to cross examine counselor. You seem to think I am on the stand. Why would you want them to get sold for that price? Median household income in Montana is $70,800 as of 2023

My bad, I hit the wrong button for quantity. Regardless, 60 tickets is a pretty small amount.

Last night, I said that people didn't know which extra tickets they got. Email went out shortly after midnight, so this morning everybody knew.

How bizarre that Cat fans would want to create as much of an advantage as possible for a semifinal game. It's not just Cat-Griz, it's the game to go to the title game. Different stakes.

I don't know what price they will sell for, but he bought them, so he can sell them for what he wants, or can get. And not ass hurt, but why assume the person didn't care about the game.

Ah yeah. Hello?
Your back-slapping, A-hole program doubled request amounts and canceled any public offering. It’s crazy. And some of you idiots are over here trying to defend it like it’s no big deal, although it’s never been done before at any other school.
There were no seats available to the public at large. Your school made sure of it. Do you not get that?
The fact that there are any seats available at this point destroys your goofy theory.
Look at the mark up of your greedy fans.
32 seats @ face value ~ $1,289
32 seats scalped ~ $32,000
That’s 2500% mark up.
Good god, talk about the rich getting richer
While the true fans never even got a chance

My guy you're still missing the point.

First, YES this place has been and probably will forever be more entertaining than not just the Cat board, but ANY board. It's magic over here.

And I don't know what you're amazed about so I'll leave that. It didn't make sense to what I wrote.

It's not taking away from general admission and giving to "rich donors" at all. :ROFLMAO: Literally EVERY single season ticket holder can request extra tickets. And maybe you're not a griz season ticket holder so this may shock you but you guys do the same if you are a season ticket holder.
No, Griz season ticket holders cannot request 4/8 extra tickets!!!!!

In 20,000 seat stadium with a large share already full of season ticket holders and students the absolute best the Griz could hope for is 2,000 which would be a huge reach. Outside of the alloted amount for UM most Griz fans that score tickets will be surrounded by Cat fans and will be drowned out. Just like at WaGriz the only time you will hear opposing fans will be when something positive happens and home crowd goes silent. The Cats have the home crowd and that is just the way it is. 200-300 more either way means nothing.

You're assuming 32 seats will sell for $1000, which they won't, but honestly, you're throwing quite a bitch fest over 60 tickets. Scalpers would exist regardless of how you did it, the vast majority of fans are paying face value or slightly more to get to see the game, just the same as always. This just simply isn't as big of a deal as you're making it to be, and you're only arguing this way because the Bobcats did it.

My "theory" was that I didn't think there would be a lot of huge markups going on. Right now there's 72 listings. 72/20767 = 0.35%. Totally destroyed my goofy theory with under half a percent being listed right now for ridiculous amounts. You're brilliant, my friend.

Sure, but it's just reasonable and logical to use whatever advantage you can. I'm not going to get on a high horse and pretend like I'm sorry we didn't allow for more tickets to get sold to the opposing fanbase in a semifinal game.
