Semifinal game tix

No chance wolf. The season holders GOT their season tickets if they wanted them. The rest was just a request. Like every other game, including NC tickets, we have a priority system that's been in place for a decade. We only have capacity for 21,000. People were going to be left out no matter what. Why not do what we can to make sure that it is Cat fans in the seats?
Yeah giving season ticket holders up to 8 tickets in addition to their own seats is ridiculous. That’s a knee jerk reaction. There was a good plan in place by your athletic department to make sure tickets went to cat fans anyways for people who purchased tickets previously this season and were actual cat fans. All you really accomplished was creating an elevated secondary market within your own fanbase and alienating your fans. You think the secondary market is going to be dominated by cat fans? You would rather have extra tickets in the hands of people looking to sell to cover the cost than the cat fans that actually wanted them.

Yes, we understand a priority system. We’ve used it. And yes people will always be disappointed. We have almost 20,000 season ticket holders. No need to offer them 8+their own tickets to sell it out for a momentous game.

I guess you'll have to explain to me what you would have done different? Why would we not want to give our most loyal fans the opportunity for extra tickets?

I think you're overestimating how many people are going to be selling the tickets for a huge profit.

Everybody I know that got the extra tickets is planning on either giving them to family/friends or selling them at face value to family/friends.

I don't doubt that there will be some "scalpers". There always are, especially with a game of this magnitude where people will be willing to spend a lot of money. There's really no way to avoid it. I just don't think there will be a lot of it.

So pretty much fuck the general public and your everyday can't fan, you have to know someone or be in the in crowd to get a ticket? Sounds like some little brother california bullshit to me. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

I think I know how this story ends…

Hey Jesus, I want you to meet my friend Judas Iscariot. I think you two will really hit it off.

Thats what I get from how the whole thing is set up. Tell me where I was wrong or show me another athletic department that pulls this high school esque shit where they dont even sell general admission tickets to the public. I'll wait ⏳
I don't know if you're being serious but I was travelling all week and I'm enjoying some red while I relax.

MSU is doing the exact thing every team has done in the playoffs. Visiting team is given 500 tickets. After that they're on their own.

MSU gives all season ticket holders the ability to REQUEST up to 4 additional tickets every game. This is a nice perk rewarding STH's that they always use on occasion, but REALLY use for big games. Had Cat griz been in Bozeman this year nearly every STH would have requested their 4.

Seeing what was on the horizon, as your messiah of a coach predicted after the first Cat-griz, they gave our STH's an opportunity to request 8 tickets instead of 4 tickets. This is to ensure that the most valuable fans of the fanbase can get more of OUR fans in the stadium. Doesn't mean we'll get what we requested, but at the very least it helps making sure it is Cat fans and not griz fans in the seats.

You can pretend that UM wouldn't do the exact same thing but it's not worth a discussion. They would. And they'd keep nearly all Cat fans out and in the process some of their very own griz fans would be left out as well.

You can call it high school Esque. But in the real world if there is no general admission, that means your program is doing a VERY good job.

As a season ticket holder on the better half of the continental divide i have never been given the opportunity to purchase anything outside of my regular season tickets for a home game. So since your point is incorrect and you keep trying to justify the pettiness of the upper echelon inside the turdbox do some research and actually find me a program that pulls some school yard bullshit like this.

Well I'm a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years. Over the years my tickets have changed and now I have a suite that holds 12 seats, as well as 6 seats outside. I have 18 season tickets with the ability to have 22 of them for every single game the Cats play at home. As do other season ticket holders.

The only thing we did different is we made the 4 tickets you can request for 8 tickets you can request for. Crazy right? Can you even imagine a world in which the supply and demand would change based on an opponent in college athletics? I think people should pay the same for when Northern Colorado comes to town in September as they would when the griz come to Bozeman to get to the National Championship. This is SO high-school-esque............

Wow I am so amazed buddy congrats 👏🏻🙄, you're just perpetuating what I've said about alienating your joe blow fans for the oligarchs of the litter box. You also keep dancing around that no other program takes away general admission seating from the public and gives it to all their rich donors. It is amazing to me as a side note that people like you want to come and sit on an opposing teams forum let alone your arch rival. Bubcat nation too boring or what?

My guy you're still missing the point.

First, YES this place has been and probably will forever be more entertaining than not just the Cat board, but ANY board. It's magic over here.

And I don't know what you're amazed about so I'll leave that. It didn't make sense to what I wrote.

It's not taking away from general admission and giving to "rich donors" at all. :ROFLMAO: Literally EVERY single season ticket holder can request extra tickets. And maybe you're not a griz season ticket holder so this may shock you but you guys do the same if you are a season ticket holder.

So you just magically shit out extra tickets? Where exactly do those come from? I must be speaking a different language here and im not speaking scat for you. Already stated I am a season ticket holder and no contrary to what you are saying we have never given our Gsa/season ticket holders the chance to buy more than what you are already allotted before they go on sale to the public. Damn you are dense.

Highly doubtful. I would think there will be plenty available on the secondary market. There are a few already but the prices are outrageous. I would expect there'll be more tomorrow and the prices will drop the closer it gets to Saturday. It doesn't seem like there will be any available to buy directly from MSU however.

There's always people looking to make a buck and so there will be a number of people buying tickets just to sell them. Cat fans know this too or they wouldn't be begging and pleading with their own fans not to sell tickets to Griz fans.
You are right as the week goes on ticket prices will drop. I'm not willing to pay $100+ to go to the litter box. FTC

Let’s keep things in perspective. Griz know they are headed into a hostile environment. Parents and family will be in attendance to root the Griz on. Bozo probably won’t have as many fans in attendance as planned given the weekend near the holidays and the reported weather. The stadium is nowhere near as loud as Wa Griz and the team can silence the crowd in the first quarter by getting up early and putting their foot on the throat of the Cats. I think another poster has it down and nails it by saying, “Just win, that is all.”

MSU is doing the exact thing every team has done in the playoffs.
Nope. Your lil bro projecting is not only super insecure but also just plain wrong. Why do bubz have to lie to make themselves feel better?
No team has “canceled” public offerings. That’s crazy. Seems like something only greedy Californians would do to keep the locals out. Sad really.
In fact, just last week The Griz provided a code so fans could get a huge discount on tix. Thousands used the code. Entire families who could never afford to go were able to attend. Missoula is still genuinely, authentic Montana. I don’t know what the hell your cess pool has become but it’s a rat race of greed.

What?!? Why do bubs just say such stupid shit?
Dudes can get twice as many tix for a game that is more than double normal demand. The most expensive and exclusive seat in the country. Both prices and demand are through the roof. Motivation for scalping has never been higher or more available.
They never “requested” twice as many before. Suddenly, they have the ability to pay for their season tix while still getting their requested amount.
It’s the good ole boys club taken to the extreme. Only way locals get in is if they beg.
It’s the worst form of privatization I’ve ever seen.

Yeah that’s what they’re telling you.
