Ci-tay, I could predict that you'd be starting a thread after this game telling what great skills Selvig possesses.
Where were you following the EWU game?
You guys are typical front-runners who gloat when you get a rare chance to try to prove your point. The problem is, you disappear when Selvig lays another egg, like he did in many games during the season.
I have only seen Derek play about 8-9 times in his career. But, it is very obvious that he has a decent game when he hits a couple of shots early, and then seems to shoot with confidence the rest of that game. However, if he misses a couple early, he becomes tentative, lacks confidence (and it shows on the court), and seems to allow that to effect all aspects of his game. He is a streaky player that can look very good at times, but will have you scratching your head at other times.
He is what he is. A team will live or die with his up and down games. Will be interesting to see how he performs in the NCAA.
How many times does a personal who has played the game, coached the game, and officiated the game have to see a player to know what that player's strong points and weak points are. How many times do you think athletes in football or basketball are scouted before they are drafted? I have seen enough of Selvig to be able to make valid observations about his skill set.
