Remember guys for G1 and expectations with the secondary, you must not get beat deep, EVER, however you must also not give up any short passes... EVER. Never mind that if the defense is in a cover 2 or cover 3 they're actually supposed to give up shorter gains...

Additionally you must make all tackles, ALL THE TIME. It doesn't matter that one of our safeties is a true sophomore, one of our starting corners last week is a WR convert, and the other starting corner was starting his first game.

Concerning the two touchdown passes against the Griz, Lebsock #33 did not get beat on the first one. It was number #12 or #13. It was difficult to see. The coverage was close and the throw was good. Lebesock
#33 was lost on the play however. He just was indecisive and didn't cover anyone. Lebsock #33 came in late and attempted to hit the receiver in the end zone after the ball was caught. On the post" play for the touchdown, you can't expect the cornerback to make that play alone. The receiver caught the ball inside of the hash mark and the deep middle was a "ghost town". The Griz got beat "over the top". The free safety has to be there in support. That is why Hermanson got "chewed out" by Coach Ty on the sidelines after the play! You can review both plays on Go Griz.com Someone said that the front seven for the Griz doninated this game and they did! SD was not a great offensive team. That was obvious. It will be interesting to see how App. State plays it this weekend. I would expect a "vertical" passing game from them.
