I think App State will find out that Montana's SECONDARY will have very good closing speed. Tye will put together a good scheme to minimize yac. Given they have lost they're starting running back unless they burn a redshirt will pass a lot. Our SECONDARY is very capable and will have a good showing on Saturday-especially with Harris back. The GRIZ secondary is clearly the weakest position group of the three on defense.

That's two games in a row now that they failed to correctly read their keys and thus allowing a streaking reciever to run alone for an embarrasing TD over the top.

Their tackling needs to improve as well, especially Tully.

I guess we have been spoiled by NFL safeties and corners playing for us in the past...

Our front 7 dominated yesterday's game so much yesterday our secondary really just had to manage the passing game and was not heavily needed to make a superior effort.

As for Tully he did have a few key stops as I recall one run early where he had a good wrap up on their running back and if Bo didn't hit him... that guy might've been gone.

USD was not much of a dynamic passing team at all, it's pretty tough to gauge the secondary play based on yesterdays game. I mean... take away the 80 yard bomb that burned Dennard and USD only passes for 92 yards in the whole game and is held to 153 total yards of offense. It's not as if that play didn't happen but it came against a backup where we'll now see Nate Harris in that situation more often than not.

App will be the true test against this group, I saw they threw for 300 against ECU.
