Season Shot! Any Guess on Record at End Of Season?

I am sure the players are more frustrated and disappointed than we are as fans. They have a great opportunity over the rest of the regular season to show they are a title contender. After the last two games I am guessing most non-Griz and many Griz fans are convinced they are not. They could be right. The team has a chance to prove them wrong. I hope they are thankful and looking forward to that opportunity. Beating Sac, Weber, MSU and even EWU would change a lot of minds convincingly. Something clearly has to be different going forward. Hope the coaches and players figure it out whether it is an X’s and O’s thing or team mentality issue. My guess is a mix of both. Regardless Idaho played well and it will be interesting to see how they do the rest of the season.

7-4 with whole bunch of excuses

7-4 is my guess as well :( had such high hopes. The offensive line and offense in general is just bad. They’re not great at any one thing.

lather, rinse and repeat
Kool-aid is wearing off.

I said on another thread that the next six games are brutal and if we can through them with only two losses, I'd be very happy. After losing to the spuds, and if we lose the next two road games to sac and weber, the rest of the season is must win. The brawl could be for a playoff spot. We need to take care of business with poly and ewu, and get a road win at either sac or weber. If we do, the brawl will then be for playoff seating. Bobby has to get some things figured out and if we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot, we'll be ok. It's about momentum and we need to get it building, fast. Off our heels, on our toes. Let's go Griz

Boy what a difficult question. I’ve never seen a bigger turn around in a team before. Instead of getting better we are getting worse. IF these kids and coaches can refocus, have a good week of practice, make some necessary adjustments, not turn the ball over, execute, and play complimentary football we can right the ship. (That is a long laundry list after coming off a horrible offense game.). We have a chance at 9-2. If not and we continue on our current path we can scrape out 2 home game wins and go 7-4. Right now sac state, weber, and msu are better coached football teams and have their teams heading in a positive direction. The remainder of this season lies squarely on the shoulders of the coaches because the talent is there. My question is can the offensive coordinator make the necessary adjustments to beat the better defenses in the big sky. Namely weber..

The schedule was set up for no worse than 8-3. All the easier games were in the friendly confines of Wa/Griz. All we had to do was hold serve at home and at the very least a playoff bid was guaranteed.

Not now.

10-1 or 9-2. Bobby sucks after bye weeks, always has a hard time with ISU. Just like UNC gave the Bobcats a scare for the first half. UNC owned them for half of a game. Guarantee they aren't about to commit suicide over it. Some teams match up better against others. Doesn't matter the W/L record. A 0 win team get beat a undefeated team on any given Saturday. I think we win out. This team does not want to lose and having faced better competition now, they know where they need to be. Griz are still good, still a top 10 team.

All of Weber's wins are all against teams with losing records, all of the Bobcats wins are teams with losing records, all of Sac St wins come from teams with losing records, notice how all the top teams in the big sky have all wins against shitty teams??? Really have no idea how good any of them are.

Idaho may very well be the best team in the big sky.

Yes, lets anoint them BSC champs right now. Because they beat US.

Seriously. They're clearly improved over years past, but still not a team we should dream of losing to at home if we fancy ourselves title contenders.

I don’t think there’s many here who still fancy us as such… :D :D

Well they are the only team that's beat a team with a winning record. So they might be

NO...Sac St...is more talented and is well coached...I think they will roll the Griz!
Sac, Weber, and MSU are all in the same position we were in, haven't played any good teams. We really don't know how good any of them are. Sac St will not roll us. If they win it will probably be by a td. I think we come out on fire and beat them by 2 tds+

Have you watched them play this year?

Having seen both, Sac looks a lot better than Idaho.

I have and I've also seen the teams they've played(not just against each other)

We used to look great too. The Griz match up well with Sac St. As long we don't make stupid mistakes, we win.

It's not the end of the world, like everyone I'm a bit annoyed with how we played today. Big things:

-Mistakes: HAVE to stop screwing up

-Offense: IDK about yall but I am not a fan of how we currently run it, but I digress. Execution needs to be cleaner.

-Special teams: What the hell

This could be the wake up call that this team needed, here's hoping we take our hit on the chin, get back up and prepare for Sac State.

And people were saying after the ISU game it was a wake up call. Then after a bye week, and play like that! Embarassing

If you get "embarassed" about college kids playing a game you should probably find another outlet before you end up in therapy.

Saturday afternoon my wife said “you handled it very well, honey.”

I’m like “it’s a football game, not life and death.” :? :?

Apparently in the past I haven’t handled it well? Who knew?
