Sean Murray suspended

If for no other reason, I would like to see the disciplinary problems on the Griz football team cease just to end the pathetic discourse that invariably follows on this message board.

Agreed, and why any Griz fan would even care about unsubstantiated rumors related to the situation is beyond me. The "off season" is over. There is a football game to be played in a few days! Go Griz!

If what SACCAT says is actually true (which I have no basis to believe or disbelieve it), then Murray may have been trying to just protect his buddy, which is a good thing (in the common sense world - not the everyone-else-is-to-blame airtight legal world we actually live in). And IF JJ was out drinking some, why are you all so hyper-sensitive? What it the big deal? He is 21 and is legal to do so. I can't believe nobody has even caught onto that. I honestly don't think what SACCAT was saying was in any way derogatory towards JJ. This may be shocking, but a guy of legal age in a bar a little bit drunk is not all that uncommon. Just because of the turmoil that ended 6 months ago, doesn't mean he has to live in a cave the rest of his life.

If this were true, and it really is not too far fetched of a story, then the poor decision was made by Murray in just getting up and leaving the place with JJ instead of getting involved in an incident. Which is the difference in representing your school correctly as an athlete as opposed to what a "normal" student could do.

****disclaimer*****, just because I have "MSU" as the team I cheer for does not mean I am anti-Griz and can't think independently without some sort of tinted glasses fogging my view. All of the above is simply for conversation purposes and is in no way representative of what may or may not have actually happened.

Wow. I haven't witnessed a beat-down like this since the Griz last visited Bozotown. Sac took some serious blows!

My guess is saccat66 is a :liar: who likes to :fuel: A typical :msugrad: I use pictures because reading facts don't seem to be a cat fans strong point.

I am certainly not a liar, I don't fuel fires, and I graduated from University of Minnesota. I use words to paint pictures, because that was my job for about 7 years after College. Call me what you will (I am fat...I can take it). All I was saying is THAT is what I heard. I hope it is not true and that JJ and the rest of the team stay out of trouble. There will be other incidents at BOTH schools..Hell I was top of my class, and once challenged a cop to a foot race. (I won the race, but lost the war)

Give us the name and contact information for the Griz fan you communicated with, and we will contact him to find out what he told you. Surely, he would be willing to confirm what he told you.

You are consistently untruthful on the board. You are a troll. I never understood posters who get their jollies from intentionally being irritants on the internet, and who provide no information and noting of value. I've wondered if it's the only way they can get attention. I've wondered if they are just small people who have little or nothing going on for them.

I will PM you his name and number so you can call and ask him yourself. I have nothing to hide. And never did I say it happened, just that it was said to me by one of you that it did. I have never been untruthful about anything I have posted here or anywhere else. Did I get a kick out of how irate everyone got on here? Yes. I find it funny that on message boards there are tons of rumors to EVERY situation. So because I am a CATS fan, I can't say what I heard, and am a Liar AND a POS? REALLY???

Sounds good. Haven't gotten a PM yet.

And I can't understand why any Griz fan would not care if rival posters, or even UM posters, are allowed to lie about UM players on the internet. It's actually a legal violation to do do or allow that.

You are missing the point. The last incident that got Murray in trouble had absolutely nothing to do with JJ. Can you not read or understand. The statement/rumor is untrue, really just a lie.

So your contention PR, if I follow correctly, is that egriz could be held liable for allowing an unsubstantiated rumor to go unchallenged when the person typing the rumor states that she has no idea whether it is true?

If a poster contends, for example, that a person of color is, in fact, Irish, would that be an idiotic statement that should be challenged?

If an untrue statement is made about someone on an internet forum, and the fact that it is untrue is called to the attention of the forum, the forum must remove it or it will be subject to liability. There is a federal statute on it. Also, it is illegal to defame someone, whether on the internet or elsewhere.

So if I claimed that Dorsey and Whitney is a substandard law firm, and an egriz member informed the moderators that my claim is untrue, they will be held liable if they do not delete my claim?

I can read and I can understand. Thanks for the direct personal attack. Hope you feel better now. How are your reading comprehension skills? What point am I missing? I was not replying directly to you so there was no "point" I was responding to from you. I have no more reason to believe you saying its a lie than I do to believe SACCAT's "sources" saying it's true. I really don't care. Try re-reading my post again...especially the disclaimer part.

So everyone that called me a liar and a POS were actually defaming me, and there for ipso facto must be plerabus unumed in front of a Marshall of the courts?

I never said it was true. All I said is that I heard that story from a griz fan and booster...And I did send you a PM PR OK?

This whole thing is a Travishamockery...

gawd i love it when greenie plays egriz sheriff. however, if murray's transgression was indeed the defense of johnson's honor (i.e. something arguably 'good'), doesn't that make greenie into the one doing the defamation, by saying that murray's transgression was no such thing?

i think you need to pm everybody your name and telephone number, greenie. you are in big trouble now. you might be making murray's behavior look worse than it was. bad greenie.
