Do you really think that’s a ballot issue? As if the voters have any say at this point in the state budget overall? The only thing voters have a say in is who is elected. Now, there is a hell of a lot of our counties with small populations that have voted in large agricultural players for decades. Many of those legislators have ties to MSU, some to UM. Some have local universities in the MUS who are affected by funding.My point is - I highly doubt the voters would approve of funding the move-up in perpetuity...

It's probably a 70-30 issue against across the state.
But, start the petition in Missoula and see where it takes you.
All I’m saying is the mentality has changed over the hill from the early 2000’s when UM was the main university having success and doing feasibility studies to move up. We also have nationally minded governor, senators and representatives who have stood by a platform that focuses on Montana being open for business and growth. National exposure isn’t easily gained, but the 2 universities could help do that and I would imagine, shortly we will see a push for that.
