Sounds like a typical call Stitt would make in those situations, so predictable..
That's what scares me - new year, same stuff. I pray that is not the case and like the players themselves, the coaching has improved.
GO GRIZ!!

You guys act like you know nothing about coaching and evaluating and establishing a depth chart based on performance of each position rather than result of each play. You probably don't understand how a pro team that goes 1-4 in preseason can go 13-3 in regular season. The fact that execution of plays on the offensive side of the ball was collectively better than last year's first scrimmage should be all the good news you need. I'd like to see improvement in each scrimmage on both sides of the ball but if that happens it means the offense will find moving the ball tougher and the defense find stopping the offense tougher. Valpo will let us know what to expect and UDUB will let us know what we really have.

Re play selection. I have a funny feeling you're not seeing (in scrimmage) everything they have been working on....just a hunch.
I hope so because what was on display certainly didn't inspire fear in the D. Same thing different year.
And I don't think anything will. This years defense has the attitude that has been missing for a while. Could be a special year for that group.

We should be able to score a ton on Valpo and I wouldn't be surprised if UW holds us out of the endzone.

The surprise would be if MT scores not if UW holds em out of the end zone. Night and day punching bag game. I was saying 6-5 after last spring. 7-4 maybe is more accurate now. it all depends on how tore up the team is after playing UW.
