Scat Fans Slay Me

What you see on BN is only a small amount of fans no different than EGRIZ. This Bobcat fan thought the refs did an okay job. There were some missed calls, but all games have some missed calls and bad calls. They weren't as bad as Big Sky refs. I don't think the refs had anything to do with the outcome of the game. I thought both teams played a heck of game, especially the Griz. The Griz were very well prepared and the coaching staff did a heck of a job. Also, the crowd was the 12th man. I give Bobby credit with making the changes he made to the staff after the NAU game. These were his buddies and it had to be tough for him. It was a team turn around for the ages. I will be rooting for the Montana kids in the Championship. Enjoy the ride, win or lose. Have fun in Frisco.

I thought they changed changed the OC and DC. No one got fired but those changes were made?

Those changes were made in the offseason.

Thank you! I thought it was after NAU. In any event, the changes were a good move and worked out well.

The number one change he and the staff made after NAU was making McDowell the permanent starter. That has proven to be a phenomenal decision. But yes, he shuffled the coaching staff around pretty dramatically in the off-season. Getting Tim Hauck on staff along with Bradford on the defensive side has been huge and I’d say Pease’s playcalling has been huge as he’s getting our playmakers the ball.

33 is right here. While the bubs doing this is ridiculous and wreaks of li bro, I also have little doubt if the roles were reversed we'd see something similar on this board.

The thing is, I think that game was well-officiated. Farrrrrr better than what we're used to from the bsc. There were misses, of course, but they were balanced and none were blatant. The only call I think ndsu would have ANY gripe about was the OPI call on the pick. By rule, that's a penalty, but I agree it's often not called, and the contact was slight. I would have made that a no-call. Their claims of DPI on the two point conversion are laughable. The TE is a blocker on what is a RUN play which turned into a desperation heave. The offensive player initiated the contact and maintained it up until the point when the pass was going to be thrown. The UM DB then tries to shed the block to get to the ball, which he has EVERY right to do. If anything, he's being held by the TE. Basically, fatties, STFU on that call.

What's hilarious is I saw one bub on SM claiming that because of his role as Director of the committee, Kent had sway over the officiating so it was corrupt. MY GOD. That is an entirely different level of tinfoil hat land.

The pick play penalty is not called often enough but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a penalty. Sometimes penalties are called and sometimes they aren’t. Griz have been on both sides of this at critical moments. Cry a river and move on.

You were probably busy tossing a few back with Willie and Jamie watching some off season double reps discussing which 3rd team Bobcats would be 1st team all Big Sky by year end.
