Remember that lunatic on the football board last year that counted down every day to the start of the football season? I don't think he's such a lunatic now. Pridgett, Anderson, Rorie, Dunn, Ogine, Wright, Moorehead--I can hardly wait.

:thumb: :thumb: I'm with ya! The Griz will be better next year, as the lineup above promises. I'd add Krslovic, Lopez and Samuelson for certain, hoping for rebounds from 2-3 others.

I'm assuming Pridgett, Anderson and Rorie will be starters, if not at the beginning of the year, not too far into the year. I'm expecting two players off this year's team to make real progress from their freshman to sophomore years, DeJong and Moorehead. I'm looking for an incredibly deep team with the capacity to run, run, run while playing great defense. If our football team plays "grass basketball," I'm hoping our basketball team runs a hardwood track meet.

An additional schedule note regarding Pridgett:

His El Cerrito team plays in the CIT NorCal Div. II boys championship game today at noon (Pacific) against Serra H. S. in Sacramento. I'd read that some of the games will be streamed, but could not find any info at Max Sports.

(O.k. you posted that. Sorry. I didn't read your top link!)

Love that enthusiasm but wow that's 3 freshman playing at once. I don't see anyone taking Wright's spot and are those guys are better than Ogine (sp)? hard to imagine him as the 6th player.

Can't wait!

I don't see pridgett starting. Walter will keep his spot along with Oguine they are too good to be supplanted. I think we will be forced to go to a predominantly 3 guard lineup because Rorie is to good to keep off the floor. What an exciting problem to have!

Season over, lost 59-53 to finish as the Northern California division 2 runner-up. Next stop Montana!

Sayeed: 17 points, ten rebounds, five assists. El Cerrito was up 20-10 when Sayeed and his backcourt mate both got in foul trouble, and the team seemed to lose its aggression, according to news reports. I'll be interested to see where Sayeed rates when the local paper comes out with its annual ratings of Bay Area high school players. Hoping Sayeed is first team.

I was at the game yesterday...Pridgett seemed to have something bothering him, he didn't play with the same "motor" that I have seen him play with in the past....I was sitting with El Cerrito fans and even they couldn't figure it out....yes, he got 17 and 10 but he didn't play nearly as hard as I have seen him in the past....hope there was not some mentally trying situation playing hard on him...as I have commented on this board before, Sayeed plays as hard as any kid I've seen in a long time, just not yesterday for some mysterious reason....

Not foul trouble?

Even though he did eventually foul out, that was not a cause of his seemingly listless (for him) play...even the long time El Cerrito fans didn't understand why he was playing so uninspired...I was very surprised as I have seen him play before and was always extremely impressed with how hard he played on both ends of the floor...

Exciting!!!
Pridgett looks like a future BSC MVP on the videos I've watched!
Coach is really bringing in some talented kids!
