Oh, they'll still be god awful. But they'll be a wealthy god awfulHe is right. Just because they were not good before does not make them bad in the future. $$$ does wonders for a football team.

The SS President Luke Wood must be a total idiot and non-football person. He doesn't even know the name of the division that SS wants to move to. He called FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) the "football bowl series" and also referred to the Football Champions Series, which should be Subdivision. The President is definitely a JV president.

FBS is not interested in a 24 team playoff. 12 is a better number.FCS has the playoff football model that the big schools wish they adopted. Seed the teams & the better seed gets a home game. FBS is still too stupid/greedy to do this for a full playoff. That is hardly JV. The JV statement is understandable for many others because a majority of FCS teams are shit and have no fan base. We are part of the fortunate few.
SS has a JV president who oversees a JV football program, as you said. This is what he did to prepare for leading SS to FBS glory: “vice president for Student Affairs and Campus Diversity” at San Diego St.FCS has the playoff football model that the big schools wish they adopted. Tell that to Cal and Stanford. The problem Sac St has is no one cares, either you need a very active alumni with passion for the move, a schedule that instills interest in the area you play in, a event environment that attracts new fans because its either the best or the only event. In the college football arena capturing lightning in the bottle isn't as easy as saying "I want to play with the big boys".I kinda like it.
Players who really good go FBS varsity and the players that need playing time to jv.
Sac has potential if they get it right. Big sports town has the nba and close to the Bay Area teams. But not any real college football fbs. ( by what i mean real college football is how good the teams they play against, NFL is best football, the fbs, then jv) I think they could fill 30k stadium easily and with added funds from the community because they have a "real" football team too root for. They might hit it big with the fbs, or they could be Colorado St or Wyoming. Fill the stadium for big games, then not so much for jv games. But still a lot better then 95% of the JV teams.
So Montana plays for the JV national championship. At least it is a national championship.
I think what he's getting at though is the CFP should be played on campuses until the championship, just like FCS. I too like the 12 team format they're using, but they gotta move on from the New Years 6 bowl games and the neutral sites.FBS is not interested in a 24 team playoff. 12 is a better number.
I don’t understand why some of you object to the JV description for FCS football as it is Junior to FBS football. Maybe B League would be better. I will cheer for the Griz if they are designated NAIA, but i think it is importsnt to accept that Griz football competes in a lower division until we are FBS—if ever.I think what he's getting at though is the CFP should be played on campuses until the championship, just like FCS. What was wrong with what I said? I said I like the CFP format, but I think it would just be way cooler to see all the games on campus like they are in the first round. There's just no energy at a neutral site.I don’t understand why some of you object to the JV description for FCS football as it is Junior to FBS football. Maybe B League would be better. I think it has more to do with a school that couldn't even find sustained success at the "JV" level thinks that becoming a FBS independent somehow makes them a 'varsity' level athletic department. With certainty, it is apparent that Sac St has a "JV" level President.I don’t understand why some of you object to the JV description for FCS football as it is Junior to FBS football.
