Rumored QB Transfer from Minnesota

Big G said:
So we have resorted to getting talent that cannot get it done at a very bad FBS school to thinking he is the answer or a god send? Get a grip people we have QB's that can get the job done we don't need a quitter that is average at best.
Yeah I don't think 5-6 is getting the job done...

Funny but we used to attract winners and now we are getting guys that would love to be 5-6. The fact that MD would even want another Swogger is all I need to know!

This kid is an unmobile, bigger, slower, less accurate version of McKinney......great get......

Yup......He reminds me a Roper/Swogger clone. He's tall, and that is the only reason he got a sniff at Minnesota.

He got a sniff at Minnesota because the head coach at Minnesota came from Northern Illinois, yep that Northern Illinios, the one that plays Florida State in a BCS Bowl, and he was recruiting him to UNI. Also might have something to do with the fact that the kid threw for over 5,000 yards in two season of high school ball and won a state championship his junior year. With that being said, I can see the similarities with Roper/Swogger.

Who would these be? The coaches haven't found them yet so please help them out.

"we don't want quitters" lmao...I guess you didn't like Drew Miller, Craig Ochs, the Hancock brothers, the Decoites, Willie Walden, I could go on and on. Not saying this kid form Minnesota could hack it with the Griz, but calling him a quitter?? UM has made a LIVING off drop down players over the years.

Any other drop QB transfer rumors out there? I honestly don't get some EGRIZ posters, they are never happy on a qb. The same posters bitched about McKinney, then Hann. Imply we need a qb that can throw and hand off. Yet, is not behind the qb with the best arm, Gustafson. Now we have more rumored drop down qb's of different skill sets and sizes. Yet what do we still hear from few? Comments like this qb cannot throw, this qb is not fast enough, this qb is too inconsistent, this qb has a weak arm.

I honestly don't mind the criticism of any QB for what they the can't do well. How about mixing in some feedback what needs to be done for each qb to become a quality qb? At the very least, comment who you like, and why you like him. Comment who might be available and why that qb would be a good fit here.

Tell us who your solution is at QB, and why? The qb's we are needing are top recruits in top BCS programs and conferences. We need to build that perfect qb, because at this level he is not out there for us to win in the recruiting wars.

I personally will back whomever the coaches deem the man, in any style.

Been reading and weeping. Come on Griz coaches. Get an OC and then think QB!
Are you suggesting Scott does not have the smarts to be an OC? I am not disagreeing. I really dont know.

I am good friends with some Golden Gopher die-hard fans and reached out to them to get some intel. He is definitely leaving the Gophers and trasferring to another school. KFAN out of MN was talking to the Offensive Coordinator, Matt Limegrover, and he stated the University of Montana is Shortell's leading choice at this point.

They said he has a very strong arm and would be very successful at the FCS level. I don't know much else about him, but I'll take anyone who gives the Griz a chance to win games right now. I was not impressed with our QB situation this year and maybe this kid can get it done. He certainly looks like he has the skill set to be good from what I saw on the video and from the feedback from my buds. Anyone who starts at a FBS school has to be pretty good.

Look at what Bo Levi Mitchell did for EWU....if this kid can do the same at our U of M....I'm happy to have him! We'll have to see how it all plays out.....Go Griz!
