I read this article. IMO, sounds like he's thinking about a lateral transfer, possibly to follow a coach he likes to the SEC...not a drop down.

looks like a clone of the gustufson kid,,both pocket passers that are nimble enough to roll out to hit receivers...both are pretty agile for their size too,,,i would bet the griz will go in this direction sooner rather than later....we have the receivrs, lets make mannings out of these big guys with arms, lots of points can be scored in this way,,doesn't have to be a pure read offense to score tons of points....imo...

EXACTLY! Look at the Patriots "Spread" Offense. We could easily be that type of Spread Team.
Great coaches adapt to their personnel, they dont expect the personnel to adapt to them (IMO)

If Max Shortell goes to Montana, you can call me a monkey's uncle I would expect him to try for Northern Illinois or somewhere closer to his hometown. In addition, he wasn't accurate on a lot of medium range throws but he does have an arm (easily throws 60 yards+) and moves fairly well for a big guy. Needs to develop his touch on shorter throws and improve his accuracy.

So we have resorted to getting talent that cannot get it done at a very bad FBS school to thinking he is the answer or a god send? Get a grip people we have QB's that can get the job done we don't need a quitter that is average at best.
