Doesn't; RTD have to start after Hauck retired, not before it. Hauck has played the Cats 4 times and is 1-1 in past two seasons. Again, UM got back in 2021.UM was not 6th in the conference that year.

I've noticed that most of the relatively few Cat posters currently posting on egriz are totally stupid trolls. Almost all of the good or reasonable Cat posters have disappeared. I assume that's because of (mis)handing of the coaches with dui's and other legal problems.

It's more of a machine than you think. The fact the Cats were able to run the ball like they did last year with a brand new, young, undersized OL is pretty incredible. They did lack a bit in pass protection, but that won't be an issue this year. Crazy good depth at just about every position... with only a couple question marks about quality depth in the secondary if we lose two or three starters. Will be much improved on both lines. Not sure if improved enough to topple SDSU, but will find out in the second game. They return almost everyone, much like the Cats.

I also talk to important people in the Cat program, and know many of them. My family moved to Bozeman when I was 12, and my greater family still lives there. Some of my greater family are some of the bigger and longer Cat boosters, and scores of players have worked for their businesses over the decades. I know some AA head coaches who know the Cat program fairly well. I have known Cat coaches. I know many former Cat players and some current players. I have talked to Griz coaches about the Cats from time to time. Wish we could compare specific notes. My guess is that my contacts are much better than yours. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

As a Cat fan I always saw Griz dominance as winning the Big Sky Conference, beating the Cats and going deep in the playoffs every year, That seemed to be the expectation of the Griz fans. And, those expectations were met during a good stretch of years. It appears that since Bobby returned, what is considered the expectation of dominance has been lowered. It is just an observation. Do you guys really feel that the level of play over the last few years meets your expectations of dominant. I think most of you on here expect better and should. Bobby has not been back long enough to play Cats 6 times. RTD started when he returned. By my measurement at the end of the season in 2021. the Griz had clobbered the Cats and been ranked no. 6 in the nation in 2021 and 2020. No need to keep talking about returning to dominance after that. It had already occurred. Measured in 2020 and 2021, what were the Cats dominant in?

Only a fool would not realize that losing a terrific qb to injury for several critical games, and then having him fairly injured the rest of the season, did not have a huge impact on the Griz season. It's easy to tell that you never played the game and don't understand it. No one has said that Brown will or needs to lead the Griz anywhere. The discussion hasn't been about what is dominant. It was about returning to dominance and perhaps not using the term as much. Those are different discussions. The Cats haven't been dominant in football ever in FCS, like the Griz clearly were for almost 25 years. The Griz were the winningest team in D-I football in the 2000s.

Feel free to tell us how the Cats are dominant in FCS. What happened to the Cats against the Griz in 2021? I'll tell you; the Cats got dominated. What about to the Cats against SDS last season? What kind of defense gives up 8 straight TD's to an FBS team, or whatever it was? Not even a bad defense gives up that many TD's.

The Cats had a very good running offense with 2 good running qb's. That's it. Not much more. We'll see if the Cats can build on that. The Cats barely beat bad EWU and NAU teams last season.
