While i agree with your general sentiment, I would suggest the D has gotten "deeper" since the EWU game. We've had Graves, Fouch, Hill, Janacaro, Nuce, Matthews, Kaschmitter, Nelson and a few others pressed into service because of injuries....that time "in the barrel" does nothing but make them better players as we move through the season as they get real-time game-speed action under their belts. Now, having Robertson, Alford, Belknap, Babros, Todd etc., all back and healthy? The D is deeper probably than it's ever been.
And same story could be said for the offense.
