ROOT Sports Stream Question

This morning the FOBU guide for ROOT shows the SU vs UM game starting at noon. So no blackout? We'll take no chances so watching it from a home with ROOT on cable.

Maybe if people pay for a month of Fubo they will get both Root games.

That wouldn't make sense though, compared to someone paying for a month of ESPN+ for $6.99 and getting a free trial for a month with one of the VPN's.

I'm running out of free trials.

That's what burner emails are for.

I was using burner emails for free FuboTV trials for Griz games this year, but I think they caught on and blocked me. Tried to use a new burner email yesterday, Fubo wouldn’t take any of my cards, all never used before.

I can see that for free trials, they must have flags in the database for that.

I don't see any other way than ESPN+ for a month and a Free Trial to a VPN for this game and the Kittens.

Next year, who knows?

Thanks for your help tonight. I'll try in the morning.

No problem. You can chat with Express 24/7.

If in desperation, Nord VPN works fine.

As far as going straight to Root's site, don't. If they can't find where you are because the VPN is on, that's exactly what it says on the page.
My wife figured out the problem...sort of. It works on any other computer and phone. Must be the 1 PC in my office. All good now.
Will have my wicked smart kid figure out the problem on the one computer. Thanks again for helping me. Go Griz!!!

Some of you have to figure this out real quick before Saturday.

Fubo has Root, but if you're in Montana, it will still be blacked out.

That was proven by myself and others.

I couldn't watch the Idaho / Eastern game on ESPN+ / Root when my VPN was off, but could when I chose a VPN setting on the East Coast.

You'll need a subscription to ESPN+, which you need for all the rest of the games anyway, and you'll need a VPN because Root thinks they are special people.

If you're somewhere else in the country, ESPN+ should be all you need.

Yes the riddle of how to watch UM Football, usually the Missoulian will cite how to watch upcoming games....but they sometimes don't. I have ESPN+ bundled with HULU, apparently today's game with the Thunderbirds is on ESPN+. I looked through Hulu Live sports/ESPN+, the only game they list is the NAU/UI game (which is also open air 23.3 SWX),. I searched for today's game on HULU/ESPN+, and the only game available was last week's UM/UI game. I give up ? how do you watch the game?

Well, I’m extremely jealous of anyone who couldn’t figure out how to watch that game.

  Would have saved me from poking my own eyes out with a cocktail fork following the fumble in the 4th quarter.

So what was the "FINAL" and only solution to watching the Griz game yesterday. Who did it successfully and and how please? I would like to have it figured out by Cat-Griz if I am still alive, and have enough brain power!

We watched it using ESPN+ and a VPN.
We even did that at our tailgate, so that means we had to use a cell phone as a hot spot to stream the signal to my firestick too.
No issues, no buffering, worked well.
Go Griz!

For those fans not wanting to pay an additional fee to use a VPN, there are several out there that can be used for free. I’m using Proton VPN currently and they offer a free option that works well enough.
Go Griz!

Ok, well I didn't get a notice you replied, so sorry about that. You will only need the VPN for the Kitten game, the next 2 will be unblocked on ESPN+

FWIW, the free trial for fuboTV worked good with no VPN needed. I live in Kalispell and although Root games accessed through my ESPN+ subscription are blacked out, the Root Sports channel on fuboTV has no problems.

Cool! Just remember what others have said about burner email accounts. I wouldn't wait until the day of the kitten game to count on Fubo to work with another trial. I would have a Free trial with one of the VPN's at a minimum to make sure.

Here's what worked for me. Blacked out in New Mexico and after many failed attempts to stream the game I found Free VPN. (Symbol is an Old Key). I downloaded it from the app store for Chromebook. It's free, I used a dummy email, and set me location to Miami. It had a few glitches but I was able to stream the game in HD from ESPN+ about 97% error free on my chromebook laptop. Even though the game icon still said Blacked Out I was able to view. Will have to do the same for Cat/Griz or just hit up a satellite party.
