That’s interesting. Staff and faculty at many institutions, including Portland State, UO, and OSU can attend public universities in the Oregon system at 1/3 in-state tuition. That’s pretty significant. If UM doesn’t do this, then that’s a pretty huge benefit that’s being omitted.
I'm pretty sure there is some sort of deduction for children of faculty and staff.
The MUS definitely does offer a tuition waiver for faculty/staff and their family members. I believe it applies to any institution in the MUS. There is a 5 year waiting period, I'm not sure if Bobby's previous employment would apply toward that waiting period or not.

My wife works at a Montana University and yes, as a state U employee a child can attend school at any of the in-state universities, be it a UM or MSU affiliate, with tuition either waved or significantly reduced, don't recall which it is. However it can only be one child at a time.

He was a high FCS recruit. Came down to UM, NAU, and a couple others. If you google his name, you’ll find the old egriz topic. NAU is bummed to lose him but was expected after the Hauck got hired. Welcome home Robby!!!

cool, i wonder why he didn't choose UM right outta the gate, considering his family's history there
Heard stitt stiffed him. When they first started to recruit him made it sound like he would get some kind of scholarship but in the end stiff wanted him to walk on....don't blame him for going to nau where he was wanted and looks like they were right if he was MVP of scout team his redshirt year. They have upper classmen on scout teams impressive for freshman to shine. Remember his uncle was a walk on after first going to Pacific his freshman year. I m betting he will be a full time starter by his second season with the griz. So is he any good yeah he's good hes a scholarship player on a nau team that made the play offs.
NAZ has a better tunnel. You heard it here first.

I was curious about Robby so I talked to a few people in the AD about him. A- yes he is coming to UM. B-The university can and will most likely contact the NCAA about him being eligible. Because he was on scout team and practiced he normally would have to sit out a year. However, family movement and head coaching being a parent in the past HAS been a reason for the NCAA to grant special arrangements. I think he had a good shot to get it and be a ST player and depth guy next year. He’s not start as a freshman good but he could be a great player over his 4 years here

Sooooo Is Robby a prospect or Recruit???

Sweetness has a very precise definition of IS. :geek:

Many years ago when we started this thing called egriz recruiting, we got burned on commitments that were not listed on the recruiting pages or were not in a newspaper. since then we have added Twitter and occasionally Facebook commitments

I truly believe that Robby will be a Griz. But to keep the board consistent, I try to wait until it’s posted on Scouts, Rivals, 247, or Twitter. Or in this case if daddy was to talk about it.

People ask is he any good? He's the next BUTTE MISSLE!!

And yes I can confirm he is coming to UM as well.

He has really good tackling technique, something this team could use

He flat out drives the player into the ground. Hard. Something they will remember for a few plays.

He was born here I hope for that is #37 material.

Watch his hudl tape. If he does nothing next year but help teach his teammates how to tackle, he’ll be worth his weight in gold.
