Real, if Bobby truly is interested, he would be the best hire in the last 30 years for your school.
not a real high bar there, so I guess I might agree with that.

I don't think Cruzado would tolerate the off field antics though.

She seems like the biggest wet blanket since Adrian in the Rocky movies. Yuck.

I guess that is why you have another thread about cutting 200 jobs at the u

Uh, what? I don't think fun killer Wade Cruznacho has any effect on UM. She just seems like an Officer Barbrady to me. Sorry.

MSU growing in enrollment, research grants and donations, 350M capital improvements project and UM going the opposite direction in all areas but the presidents are not a factor huh?

Oh, yeah, she's great. Haha! I seriously love how it goes from "we're scary good" to "well, at least we'll beat the Griz" to "refs screwed us" to "we fucking suck (as usual)" to "we fired the coach who couldn't beat you" to "we have a better president." Classic lil' bro!

Actually you are wrong on all of those except enrollment. Research in particular is up over 20 million. Donations have again broken records. In fact if you discount the state funded ag station and look at only at competitively won research grants U of M again beats MSU. Not to mention general gifting also exceeds MSU. The bigger question is how much longer the state will continue to fund your athletic programs???

That's what I wonder, too. With increasing transparency, how will the taxpayers in Montana feel about subsidizing a loser every year? Cat fans get all bent out of shape about UM's private donors, but then ignore the fact that EVERY SINGLE successful athletic program relies on private donors. The shitty ones levy the taxpayers to fund their mediocrity.

So why is our enrollment is such dramatic decline?

Lack of marketing to perspective students....how else do you promote what is good about UM and discredit or counter the possible negatives....

I agree. I have seen some of the advertising....some good, some not so good. Have they retained an advertising agency?

I hope they fire them if so. Our current ad shows some dude C-walking and a random chick singing. Not sure that helps.

Hauck did not apply. Just visited with his sister, just another scat rumor to make them feel wanted and important?
Pease has some issues so don't think that could be the final (gasp) hire. Not even close.

A new hire in ten days? The vetting is simply out the door forgotten. My guess is Cruzado already had the person in her web long ago!

There are a number of reasons IMO, however, the most telling is that UM is a liberal arts school and the labor market is not kind to psychology, sociology, philosophy and the plethora of the humanities departments' graduates. UM is ostensibly beginning to see the light and cutting faculty in the humanities, which makes me cringe, but is the first necessary step. It sounds as though the school is going to start beefing up its sciences. We could really use an engineering school.

Dead on balls accurate.

And yes, our current commercials suck. UM always had really good commercials. The latest batch are simply awful. (that said, most universities have awful commercials)

IDK, EG, I think App State has had a pretty hot ad before. Of course, that is a university that's going places, high upon a mountain above the rest like they are . . .

Credit where it's due, CDA. That wasn't just hot. It was like 3X hot!
