wbtfg said:I don't think you're giving 18 year olds enough credit. I still think a coach's job is to help boys become men, not continue to coddle. If you disagree with that, that's okay it's just a difference in philosophy. That said, I would much rather have my son play for the former rather than the latter

That's the magic of egriz!
Also attracting fans of other teams who actually try to say their coach doesn't trash players to the media. OTHER CAT PLAYERS have confirmed it. Oh, but I'll take Nooseboy's word for it since he's always been so credible, haha!
And your sources? For being a die hard griz and even greater hater of the Bobcats you sure seem to kick a shit ton of knowledge about them. So, either you are a hard core closet bobcat fan (you definitely have some deep-seeded daddy-issue shit going on with Ash...I feel like he touched you in the closet during family Christmas or something), or you are just full of shit. Neither would surprise me to be honest.
wbtfg said:He said players and coaches should stick to their commitments. I guess I don't see you what's so controversial about that. If anything, it tells me that if he commits to me then that is rock solid, rather than dropping me for a better offer down the road.
This post sounds just like a fart I had last week--it was kind of long and drawn-out and had the same squeaky/whiny tone. Come to think of it, everything that comes out of Ron's, or his apologist's, mouth sounds the same way.poorgriz said:Thanks for finding this quote that everyone has been talking about. I do remember this one now. I see nothing wrong with it. I mean, he turned the F'ing ball over 6 F'ing times for God's sake. What in the hell is Ash supposed to say? Sure he could have done the coach speak thing and said, it's all my fault because I didn't have Jake prepared, blah blah blah, but we all know that is bullshit. He had just kicked ass the prior game and played excellent, beat a good ISU team. He had a terrible game where everything just went wrong for him, and yes your D played excellent and had a lot to do with that. All the Ash bashes are looking for something that isn't there, but that's ok, we're all entitled to our own opinions. :thumb:

His contract ends next June. He hasn't gotten this close to the end of his contract without an extension since he was hired. There are probably things he needs to accomplish before he is renewed or he retires. It's pretty easy to figure out what those are.

To me, it shows a whiny, hypocritical attitude toward kids making big decisions. Not the guy I would want to sign with. Nowadays, coaches have to me more player-oriented than ever. His attitude will continue to hurt MSU recruiting as time goes by.

So your argument has gone from Ash continually calls out is players in public to Ash once made a statement saying players and coaches should honor their commitments, and I think that's hypocritical
Got it.....

No the facts (not argument) are that Ash publicly calls out his players, AND that he IS a whiny hypocrite. Not that difficult to grasp. I'm sorry that it's true, I really am, but you really can't deny this one. Sorry.

Didn't I just provide two that support these facts? Are you OK? Because the next step is you looking kinda dumb.

I saw you posted two links from other egriz threads. Was there more?
