I know, I know, you thought there would be no math. But in all fairness, why did you all of a sudden add the new variable "same team" to your argument...I am saying that to judge players on how they perform when going from a good D to a bad D, on the same team, you would need to make that measurement. I actually don't understand what you just said. It made no sense to me. And, that isn't and hasn't been the discussion. You need to compare apples to apples. You really never played the game at any good level, did you? That's coming out in your recent posts.
Because that’s the context of the discussion and the title of the thread—Wilson played for the same team both yearswhy did you all of a sudden add the new variable "same team" to your argument.
Weird, title of thread says no such thing.Because that’s the context of the discussion and the title of the thread—Wilson played for the same team both years

I didn't all of a sudden add anything. If you're going to test whether a player is going to more productive playing on a bad team/D, you need to test based on the same team, i.e. going from that team being good to the team being not good. It doesn't do any good, in terms of testing that premise, to test with two different teams. Their schemes, players, competition, etc. would likely be so different, that you couldn't make a meaningful. If a player moves a good team/D to a different horrible team, I suppose it's likely the player would be more productive. I doubt that he'd improve sacks and TFL's, thought.I know, I know, you thought there would be no math. Exactly. Helena made a mistake in what he said, completely wrong, end now he won't admit it or stop digging his hole. He just keeps trying to weasel out of his mistake. I know he would. He doesn't that at times.Because that’s the context of the discussion and the title of the thread—Wilson played for the same team both years
I'm not sure this is a good bet...could play in a few more games this year relative to last...How about this dipshit? Peyton Wing had 93 tackles last year in the PSU defense. How about we bet $1000 on his tackle production this year? I say he will not exceed that in this years griz defense. Is it a bet or do you not really believe your own hot air?
And there's too many other variables to account for as well. My husband has a book from graduate school called "How to lie with statistics" - this discussion could be tweaked using math and statistics to say whatever you wanted to say! There's never going to be a winner or loser here. Might as well be arguing about whether star-belly sneetches or plain-belly sneetches are better. Let's just all watch some football and have a good time. (And good luck to Riley.)I'm not sure this is a good bet...could play in a few more games this year relative to last...
Then you're welcome to bet on that as well.I'm not sure this is a good bet...could play in a few more games this year relative to last...
No, he just decided there is no reason to continue arguing.Exactly. Helena made a mistake in what he said, completely wrong, end now he won't admit it or stop digging his hole. He just keeps trying to weasel out of his mistake. I know he would. He doesn't that at times.
Why would I wager on a bad bet? Then you're welcome to bet on that as well.
Didn't you just post that he is going to get more games so it would be a good bet? Am I missing something? Why would I wager on a bad bet?
Cat-fan logic on full display with you in this thread.
Of all the things to try to criticize someone for, their military service probably ain't it.....Oh and please remind us again what a soldier hero you are
I know I'm not the only other Vet on here.Didn't you just post that he is going to get more games so it would be a good bet? Am I missing something?
So you actually agree that I'm right? What's the cat logic you're speaking of?
Oh and please remind us again what a soldier hero you are
If you think plain-belly sneetches are better, you're a fool!!And there's too many other variables to account for as well. Yes, you are missing something...Didn't you just post that he is going to get more games so it would be a good bet? Am I missing something?

They just keep changing the goalposts, claim they said something they didn't, and then eventually declare victory.Yes, you are missing something...
I will always thank people for their service and am deeply respectful for the sacrifice others have given to defend our freedoms laid out in the entirety of the U.S. Constitution. With that being said, I agree with your statement unless they commit a war crime, then they deserve all the criticism they get.Of all the things to try to criticize someone for, their military service probably ain't it.....
Annnnd he's not with us anymore. Big whoop. Wish him all the success there.Article in SI.com
"Arizona Transfer Riley Wilson Comes Full Circle Against Hawaii
University of Arizona transfer linebacker Riley Wilson will see his career take a 360 degree turn when the Wildcats take on Hawaii in the season opener; Wilson started his college career with the Rainbows.
Arizona Wildcats linebacker Riley Wilson was a pretty hot commodity coming out of Montana. Arizona defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales reached out to various people in the coaching industry that he knew to gather information on Wilson.
Wilson's head coach at Montana was Bobby Hauck. Hauck coached with Gonzales at San Diego State. The two hooked up and traded notes. Hauck told Gonzales that Wilson was a transfer kid that was worth fighting for.
“I had someone I really trust in this business validate him before I ever talked to him, so it made it simple,” Gonzales said to tucson.com.
Wilson said Gonzales' recruiting tactics were as aggressive as his defensive prowess."
Wilson “is a tough sucker and he’s got great leadership skills,” Gonzales said.
Wilson signed with Arizona in December. He has lived up to the hype. He is as good as Hauck said he was.
“Riley Wilson is going to be a household name in Tucson by the end of the season,” Gonzales said. “He’s got some dynamic things he can do both on and off the football and he’s smart. I’ve yelled at him four or five times over the last two days about not running into somebody because we’re not even in pads. It’s great to have to slow him down.”

Doug Betters (RIP)?? He's still alive, 76 yrs old ..... unless he just died the last few days.Since Kroy Biermann is no longer in football, he is in no one else's league.
I don't see anyone on here comparing Riley Wilson to anyone, all I see is well wishes on seeking an opportunity to improve and play at the next level.
Doug Betters (RIP) was a good player we had that left and went to Nevada-Reno. He is still pretty respected around here. He contributed to building Washington-Grizzly Stadium and even Joe Robbie, owner of the Dolphins who Betters played for, made a contribution that he would not have otherwise.
There is a long list of guys like this who played here and then went somewhere else, some for not good reasons, others for very good ones.
I see nothing to lead me to believe Riley Wilson went to Arizona for any other reason than to improve himself. Yet you want to hate that.
