I am by no means ‘chest-bumping’ after smacking the living crap out of a potentially horrible team. I just don’t have a good feel for how good the cats really are. And, I am by no means suggesting this team is a championship contender. However, I did see two things I haven’t seen all season: 1)Fire; the likes of which reminded me of the App game in 2009 (crowd included, by the way). 2) The offensive diversity I feel like we have all been clamoring for all season (aside from not running up the score, and getting Canada to 1,000 yards).

With all of that said, and assuming NDSU is in the running for a 4th title, how would last night’s team, and scheme, have fared in September? Still 22-10, or something different?

JJ is as good as anyone at running the spread option. He has been doing it all his football life. We saw a glimpse of what is possible. JJ could easily still be on the Payton watch list if this was the offense that he had been allowed to run the last two years. Hard to say about any specific game since the Griz have had serious OL problems this year but there is no doubt in my mind we'd have at least 2 more wins this year.

Hard to say. After getting embarrassed by UNI the Bison have come alive again. They have been a bit all over the place (at least compared to last year)

Also a fair point. I only watched the second half. The one that sticks out is Bleskin missing the handoff at the south goal line. But turnovers don't happen in a vacuum.
