With Chad Germer last coaching at UNLV, I'd wonder if any of their players from the last couple years or so would consider transferring into the UofM to join him. One I'd consider a possibility, though I haven't heard one way or another, is a son of a former Griz player himself: http://www.unlvrebels.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/tom_clarkson_804142.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We could definitely use him.

Agreed. Come home, Mr. Clarkson. :thumb:

This! Come on Larry give us your boy.

Unless we get a couple of JC or FBS transfers, we will have difficulty winning with our current OL players.

We will be fine at OL. Why? Last season these guys were like fresh baby poo. They were to light and soft. Were not coached as well as they could have been and with new coaching and a years experience they will perform much better. Plus add in two returners and we might gather a big transfer, we will be OK. Experience at OL is the greatest thing going for a unit. Weight room and work outs will allow these softies 2 each put on 25# of hard mussel.

If they put on 25 lbs of muscle in the off-season we better hope they don't get drug tested...

But I agree with all the points you made, I'm hoping for one ready to start transfer, and think we'll be vastly improved for all the reasons you mentioned. :thumb:

Mussels have a lot of protein.

We'll have a "ready to start" for all intents and purposes "transfer". His name is John Schmaing.

I looked at our probable starters for next year and right away we shoot up to an avg. 288 lbs. from 277 this year, and hopefully some of our smaller, lighter O linemen, like Weyer, listed as 6-4, 270, will hit the weights, the agility drills and refrigerator hard and pack on another 20-30 lbs of muscle and weight for 2015.

The line should be bigger, stronger, quicker and all-around improved in 2015 !!!

Size, strength, quickness is good and necessary. The last two years, our OL has played confused and timid. No fire or fight in them as they just went thru the motions.
