Cowboys are the only team that almost always wears white at home.

Cowboys are the only team that wear white at home! It started in the 70s because one of the team owners was a master marketer...waaaaay before his time. He wanted to give the fans a better game day experience and part of that was to allow the away teams to wear their home colors, so every weekend they played in Dallas the fans got to see a different color! Pretty brilliant really, he also anticipated that in the future NFL games would be played in studios made only for recording the games because the at home experience would be so great!!!! Hes been pretty freaking accurate so far...like I said, waaay ahead of his time.

I hate when home teams wear white, with the exception of the Cowboys and LSU, who are consistent with it. The Dolphins also come to mind but don't always do it. The Titans have already worn white at home 3 or 4 times, which drives me insane!

With most games on turf now, it is hard to see grass stains, I used to love it when after the game, the away team in white always had grass stains on their backs from getting knocked on their ass.

Special Uniform Scoop Per Greg Sundberg on tonight's Coach's Show:

The Griz will be wearing all maroon uniforms and helmets. The helmets will have a special logo with the Griz script outlined by the state of Montana. The backs of the helmets will represent each of Montana's 56 counties. Players from a specific county will wear their native county on the back of their helmet. Doesn't sound too crazy, but a nice shout out to the state of Montana.
