Since this is more than 300 days past citation, without a speedy trial waiver there might not be a charge pending. Given the number of experienced litigators who left when this attorney with not one trial under her belt was elected, I can see this deadline getting blown. Maybe even let to slide ala Hunter Biden's prosecutors. Maybe Garizzlies can stick his nose in the Court file on his next trip to Blowsman and let us know if the prosecutor(s) is competent.
First of all, the charges are pending in CITY court, not JUSTICE court. Thus, it's the city prosecutors handling the case, not the Gallatin Co Atty's Office, who had their mass exodus. Secondly, no prosecutor would let this matter go beyond the 200 days UNLESS the defense agrees to waive speedy trial. The fact that this keeps getting continued means the defense had to agree to waive speedy trial, which based on how that shithole University has handled this mess, they're going to keep him around for the season and then he'll probably plead guilty and get shit-canned. With the influx of cases coming into prosecutor offices across the state, no prosecutor is going to petition against waiving speedy trial.
