Griz nation, don’t waste your time, I never will again.
Here’s the cliff notes:
One of them isn’t even a reporter anymore. Said he was a “former” media person. What’s he doing now, slinging insurance?
Griz fans are losers with a loser mentality. That was the biggest takeaway. They hit on it multiple times, at the beginning and end.
Bubcatz are on top now and Griz just need to accept it.
This issue is not even newsworthy, unless it happened in Missoula.
There’s no reason to say anything. Whatever happened, happened.
There’s always the possibility of botched police work.
They gave a bunch of misinformation about collecting police reports. Frankly, I thought this bit was borderline irresponsible. I thought I heard one of them say they did submit an electronic request for the police report but apparently they did not follow up or will not report on it.
The so-called reporters spent more time talking about some hillbilly concert and the pac12 than the actual facts of these two cases. Seriously, they glossed over the facts in under 20 secs.
DUI’s aren’t a big deal. “look in the mirror” Griz nation. DUIs could be “handed out” like candy outside of WAGriz on a gameday. (Funny, they did not make this same connection at Reno’s For Sale stadia).
These ”reporters” totally ignored the aggravating facts and the heightened standards for coaches and instead compared them to common DUIs by common fans. It sounded to me like they were trying to down-play DUIs, just like the other skyline reporter did.
Coach Sixx directed the media not to ask about it and the media agreed. Sixx instructed them, “Don’t ask.”
Incredibly, one of the “reporters” said this was “great job security” for the drunk coordinators.
It would be “disadvantageous” for a reporter to report on this kind of thing, especially with the corporate sponsorships that are in place.
The reporters “don’t opine” but admittedly will opine that the reporting on these cases has been great.
Instead of addressing the drinking problem in MT, one “reporter” suggested an illegal (tax free benefit) scheme where every coach and player could avoid DUIs by simply using university issued credit cards to get free Uber rides home. Again, seemed to be encouraging the underlying problems.
To me, the whole pod had the opposite effect as intended. I think the “reporter” was trying to score points with Griz fans but he sealed his fate with me. I would love to hear if it changed anyone else’s opinion of the facts or reporters.
Mr. Hoops, do you still feel the same way about this guy?
